I actually did like a full on read of Mignola's Hellboy stuff in it's entirety. Plague of Frogs was prob some of the best parts of the read so far.

Lowkey think that Amazon should be the image hub. They do indie comics very well

Paper Girls was amazing from start to finish. Black Hammer as well, and all the spin-offs they created for it are just as strong. Kill or be Killed was also heat. That was my first time actually reading any Brubaker surprisingly lol
I read a little bit of Lazarus and Prophet, and from the very little that i did peep they were both solid.
You got some great picks tho fasho.

Paper girls crazy so far. It should be stranger things level when it comes out. Kill or be killed reminded me of death note Highkey but more realistic, def needs to be a show.
Black hammer is legendary so have to read but just so much content
Image has just so much content that can be turned into series. Gideon falls, east of west, chew, killadelphia, saga, southern b******s. Best thing is they aren’t just cut and dry superhero series either, more stakes and creativity. Also need an ex machina tv series, would prob be a goat level tv series

That’s honestly tough to be real with you. There’s so many good series at this point.
I feel like the must reads in terms of hype, people entering the space are:
Invincible
Spawn
Hellboy
Saga
And last one is tough, maybe between Ex Machina, Black Hammer and Deadly Class.
If you’re including Vertigo, sandman and fables gotta be in there for sure
One series I’ve been looking for and can’t find the find the full is Proof. Art is amazing.

Black Hammer is the best. I’ve read all the spin offs and main series. Love Jeff Lemire

Good morning comic thread

For me just off top it'd be
God Country
Paper Girls
East of West
Descender
and prob a mix of Seven to Eternity and something like Black Science.
Now that i think about it... Image really got some f***in heat
Not that avid of a comic book, I've dabbled in some stuff over the years. But enough coming across this thread after just seeing a headline about the latest run of Superman comics not doing well in terms of sales.
What's that all about?

I think it's a lot of things. They had like a pseudo-reboot just a few years back in like 2016 i think called DC Rebirth, and tbh the Supes books they had during that reboot were f***ing amazing. Totally changed my mind on the character and what he means. They sorta re-introduced his son (Jon Kent) and the comic series was almost like a really heartfelt Father/Son book.
Now... fast forward a few years, they bring this mf Brian Michael Bendis on to write Superman, and he ends up aging Jon Kent up for no f***ing reason whatsoever. I think this is the point where things gradually started to go bad. Jon Kent as a kid and his interactions with the DC world and his Father were dope, and then they straight turn him into a Teen outta nowhere.
Recently, Jon Kent has come out as Bi in his own book. Doesn't really bother me much except for the fact that it just felt SUPER shoehorned in. I was reading his series, and when news came out about DC's decision to make him Bi, it just felt forced.
SO i think with all that said, these are prob the main reasons why the titles aren't selling. You gotta have the right creators attached to these books who understand these characters and are able to tell new captivating stories... and i think they been lacking in that regard for the last couple years.
ZDARSKY BATMAN WHAT
This man does not lose
Currently on a classic Daredevil run and gets to handle the flagship Batman run at the same time

Wait he's taking over the main title!? I know he has that other "the knight" book out, but if he's taking over the main Batman book.... man we in for a treat.

Yeah seems like Williamson only wanted to do 1-2 stories. Chip is taking over in the summer
