Currently compiling every early establishing trait across Superman, Batman and Spider-Man. I really wanted to know two things: why is it by far only those three at that wide level of deep reverence - from the getgo - and why do certain folks not have it, despite being icons in their own right? It’s over two dozen similar traits so far, as if the three of them are variations of this idea that Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel were the first to really see, a specific idea of a hero for the people that has always existed. Before modern history, before you and I
Joker a d***head lol
Big Punisher fan here and I absolutely love the King of Killers arc right now. I just read the first 5 issues.
The fourth face on the superhero Mount Rushmore doesn’t exist
The only superhero esque character who’s actually on the level of Superman/Batman/Spider-Man is Harry Potter
Sorry Wonder Woman, Hulk, Wolverine and Goku

I think you can put Wolverine up there too
Absolute Batman is great from even an art storytelling standpoint
I just read the second trade and can confirm. I liked the first arc but the Bane arc is just so good.

Are the Absolute Flash and Absolute Green Lantern worth reading? I really liked the first Absolute Wonder Woman collection but thought Martian Manhunter was a smidge overrated.

If you can get over your aversion to digital and have a tablet, I highly recommend using the library app Hoopla and getting the first two collections of Absolute Batman, which is the biggest recent comic and one that’s designed to be understood by new readers. They also have just about every book from the publisher Image which puts out a ton of interesting titles.
I was getting into the new Ultimates books but then I got distracted by the Absolute and Energon lines.
anyone reading ultimate endgame rn?
I got it pull3d but haven't read yet. Sucks that its ending tho I love ult spidey
