Actually just saw that Deadly Mike was how he refered to by gibbs manager in this interview : https://hypebeast.com/2020/5/freddie-gibbs-the-alchemist-alfredo-album-capsule-collection
So it's prolly just his nickname
And yeah I've been a fan Mike since his run on Elektra.
Tbh I didn't like him that much on Thor and Avengers I think his art is better suited for less mainstream titles like Weirdworld
Yeah Thor did take a little bit of adjustment, especially after Dauterman, but ya Mike is dope on all the weirder books like Dr Strange, Weirdworld, etc for sure
Anyone know where I can find scans of David Choes slow jams comic

Trinity Crisis #1 -
"Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman amp up their power to launch an assault on Castle Bat, and that’s just the warm-up act! Three walking nightmares are hidden deep inside the fortress—but these Dark Multiverse versions of the Anti-Monitor, Superboy Prime, and Darkseid hold the key to humanity's survival. The Justice League have to face down their old nemeses, but will round two be the end for our heroes?"

Speed Metal #1 -
"It’s the drag race from hell! Taking place after the events of Dark Nights: Death Metal, the Darkest Knight is after Wally West and his Dr. Manhattan powers," reads the description." Thankfully, Wally has back-up in the form of Barry Allen, Jay Garrick, and Wallace West! It’s a knockdown, drag-out race through the Wastelands as the Flash Family tries to stay steps ahead of the Darkest Knight and his Lightning Knights!"

Multiverse's End #1 -
*"Perpetua, mother of all existence, has culled all life and creation in the Multiverse, condensing all beings to one planet: Earth Prime," reads DC's description. "In her quest for power and dominance, she rules absolutely and in totality, using her children—the Monitors and Anti-Monitors—as her heralds and destructors.
"But a group of heroes has banded together across multiple worlds in a last-ditch effort to stop her from destroying all of existence: Owlman, President Superman, Iris West, Captain Carrot, Guy Gardner and others choose to make their final stand in a battle they’re destined to lose!"*

Need these to actually have ramifications on the DCU or they just more glorified tie ins. These do low key intrigue me though. Interested to see what they do with Wally now that he kinda OP
DC need to put some respeck on Wally name
reading House of X because I read that it is a good starting point for X Men
First issue of House of X is kinda confusing and boring. The art is nice.

Yeah House of X is a good jumping on point, but Hickman’s a very big sci-fi writer, so it’s sometime very high concept lol.
I can explain some stuff that confuses you if you want. House of X and Powers of X (should be read in tandem) were some of my recent favorites

I was completely onboard and enjoying the first issue until it cut to some random characters in some space station

Lol yeah it goes back and forth from past present and future. But it all comes full circle pretty nicely, and the ideas Hickman is proposing is actually really cool and unique

So it explains who the space station people are eventually, or is that something I would have to already know from reading other comics?

Yeah that gets explained pretty early actually. Not sure what issue, but didn’t have to wait long for that. Make sure you read all of the data dumps (graphs, texts, etc) that’s included too for additional context.
I've been taking this time to catch up on Hickman's X-Men and I think I saw somewhere that he has interest in working on DC characters. I hope if it ever happens they keep him away from someone like Superman/Batman/GL. I'd love if he worked on a character that's not really popular already though i'm sure him on GL would be incredible

@blah
This is what I've been using to catch up lol

Yeah some obscure characters would be great, but I think Hickman on something like Justice League would be amazing. He’s great at writing teams
Tom King is a great example of someone who should stick to obscure or not-as-popular characters lol. Omega Men, Vision, and Mister Miracle were all goat

I enjoyed Mister Miracle a lot. Definitely going to read Vision.

I think The Vision is Tom King’s best work. To do what he did with a B list hero was just wild haha
Bro imagine Hickman on a Doom Patrol series

JL would be incredible also, I trust him to make JL more than a "hey we're the justice league and every issue is some world ending event" type of book. I was pretty optimistic about Snyder's JL but started to tune out after a while lol
And word all his work on obscure characters is great, I may need to re-read his Batman 'cause I fell off after a while but I knew it was pretty divisive

Exactly what we need, and with the popularity of DP increasing I can see it

Yeah Snyder’s JL just lacked any real substance. I stopped pulling it after the first few arcs.
I enjoyed King’s Batman, but it was definitely a different take. I think at certain points he was just trying too hard. And there’s something that happens that kinda just ruined it for me. I’d say it’s still worth checking out though if you have the time
