It can be both. Dustin deserves his credit for fighting a near perfect game plan and Conor also didn't look as elite as he did four years ago.

It’s just a matter of fighter evolution. People are putting too much stock in his gameplan. He’s just a better fighter than Conor. That allowed him to use that gameplan. Not many people could pull off what he did to Conor imo. The moment or something usually gets to people.

If you believe he was “elite” 4 years ago then you believe that that version of him would’ve been better than THIS version of Dustin. Lol ask yourself what would be different. This was a skill loss. They’re not old. You think the Conor that beat Cerrone would’ve been better saturday? The Conor that faced Khabib? Idk that any previous version of Conor would’ve beat Dustin Saturday. He’s that good. A new & improved Conor would’ve have to be present. You can tell he was shocked by 1. The gameplan 2. The shots Dustin could absorb & 3. The damage Dustin was doing in those exchanges especially with the right hook. Dustin taunted him a few times after clipping him. They told him he was the best boxer in the sport. The similar shock he showed when Khabib dropped him. These dudes have been evolving. This isn’t a sport you can play games with & part-time. Although, in my opinion he was never really evolving as a fighter. Point to an time where you felt there were nee wrinkles in his game? Those Cerrone shoulders?

Not true at all. Several guys could eat that facts.

He’s just not gonna blow anyone away at this division. 155+ & Boxing that left is irrelevant. He’s gotta be good. Not to say 145 you didn’t have to be good but size & power was an advantage he had in addition to being good. At 155, that advantage doesn’t exist.

Who’s fault is that bro? My point is DC has never fought Conor. Conor had every opportunity to seek info to be better lol he just has dudes around him lying and neglecting to reach out to the sports best because they let him think he was.

I think you can probably go back to Ktt1 where we argued over his coaching and s***. Lol back when he had Edo Portal and s***. Roddy & Kav not right. He should def been working in some of the gyms over here.

    Justin.
    Nate.
    Tony.

Who has he blown away at this weight? He’s 1-2. Or at 170 for that matter(2-1)?
    🤔

Conor's power has been overrated ngl

    It's even more evident now.

His old style where he was very kick heavy would open opponents up and catch them with a good punch.

He's never gone out there and Ngannou'd someone, ever.

Now that he's eliminated his kicking game it's even more evident.

  • Jan 25, 2021

Feel like the Diaz fights were good & bad for him because it made him conform to that boxing heavy game. It worked with Nate because Nate doesn't throw kicks and will straight up box unless taken down.

ill give you those first 2 but idk abt Tony anymore. And I’m not saying he’s ending the fight with that one punch, but it will rock them and he can just walk them down after. Pretty sure Poirier himself said if Conor pressured him after that he would’ve lost
