It’s just a matter of fighter evolution. People are putting too much stock in his gameplan. He’s just a better fighter than Conor. That allowed him to use that gameplan. Not many people could pull off what he did to Conor imo. The moment or something usually gets to people.

If you believe he was “elite” 4 years ago then you believe that that version of him would’ve been better than THIS version of Dustin. Lol ask yourself what would be different. This was a skill loss. They’re not old. You think the Conor that beat Cerrone would’ve been better saturday? The Conor that faced Khabib? Idk that any previous version of Conor would’ve beat Dustin Saturday. His old style where he was very kick heavy would open opponents up and catch them with a good punch.

Now that he's eliminated his kicking game it's even more evident.

Feel like the Diaz fights were good & bad for him because it made him conform to that boxing heavy game. It worked with Nate because Nate doesn't throw kicks and will straight up box unless taken down.
