Just got an official NES controller, it's wild, like I've got an actual NES and it feels EXACTLY the same, playing NES Channel games with an identical wireless controller feels like how a kid from the 80s would imagine the future, it's surreal
Neat!
https://twitter.com/nintendoamerica/status/1420739935594811392woah Nintendo adding new areas for free to a $60 Pokémon game? Unheard of this is a good sign...
been replaying metroid prime 2 the last few days
lost to the underwater boss 4 times, my last save had me doing like 25 minutes of s*** to get to it and i never did another save because i was like i’ll murk that b**** this time i don’t think it ever killed me as a kid either
why do they only add lame games to the snes online thing
Which ones are you hoping for? Always wished they'd add Chrono Trigger

haven't even played a lot of snes games so idk tbh but like anything that ppl actually care about
like earthbound or super mario rpg would be cool
but like instead they add jelly boy

If you're into puzzle games Puyo Puyo is great, the menu is in untranslated Japanese but it's pretty simple to figure out
There are a good few gems on there as well as the standards like LttP and Yoshi's Island, but Nintendo really need to get SMRPG on there, it never came out officially where I live

Earthbound i have no idea why they're not adding it since its their IP but mario rpg is a different scenario since its co-owned with square enix and if they dont want it there nintendo cant do too much about it (or well, they probably could do something but they would have to pay the right price for square enix lol)

i mean like microsoft and sony can manage to give away way newer games for free that they didn't make/own every month when you pay for their online services
nintendo can't find a way to add a 25 year old snes game because they don't own it?
seems like they are just cheap
or like any mega man game, like they already have capcom games on it lol they just don't want to put in the effort/money to add stuff people want
earthbound is super confusing though I feel like everyone would want that
like it's weird when characters from castlevania, mega man, final fantasy, are all in smash which is 1 of their biggest games and probably made a ton of people want to learn more about those characters/series but if you want to play any of the games that made them popular on the snes collection nintendo has you can't lol

They make you pay way more tho, nintendo is making you pay 20$ a year for online, nes & snes games and those 1 week trials for games on the eshop, while xbox and sony are making you pay at least 20$ for these services per month. Unless they raise the cost of NSO they're going to be cheap because the service is cheap to begin with

I guess that's fair
Would be cool if they added a tier you could pay for to get you a more complete retro game collection though
and like still these games are like 20-30 years old I'm not expecting like a nintendo game pass or like for them to give away new ones
and like why is there still no gameboy at all
seems like having their old home console games and their old portable games on a console thats whole idea is switching from being a home console and a portable would be obvious

I agree! I would be willing to pay more for more games on nso from more old systems like gba and n64 and better online for sure
I'm in the desert in SS HD and I'm still kinda bored. Should I just give up hope that I'm going to enjoy this game
Did you all like the new Mario Golf game? I’m playing the GBA one for the first time and I’m seriously digging it, never played a golf game in my life before this one either
