wonder how the 4060 ti 16gb compares to the 3060

    https://twitter.com/dexerto/status/1659214582525882373

should benchmark near a 3070 so just look up 3060 vs 3070 benchmarks

40 series has more cache so it does better at less complex games or 1080p than 30 series but if you want to play at 4k i imagine the 3070 might even take the lead

unlike old Nvidia gpus that give more cores and a bigger bus to the models with more VRAM the 4060ti 16GB vs 8GB has 0 difference other than that added VRAM

4060ti 16GB looks like a nice card $500 though meh

Ah I see... But I guess it might still be a good idea to wait until next year at least to both avoid input latency and so that the DDR5 kits do come in something higher than 64 GB's of RAM

you can get 128GB working on a lot of the new platforms (AMD/Intel)

just saw some new 48GB sticks bet they (Intel & AMD) get 192GB working in the next few months

no idea why someone would need that much ram tho honestly besides a server or something lol

like maybe if you have some kind of machine learning or content creation that uses a lot tho

Oh really? Nice man... I just hope the price won't be too much then.

Yeah it's content creation/streaming/multi-tasking related so that's why I need 64 GB's of RAM or higher so everything is smooth and there's no issues you know? Other than that so is 32 GB's of RAM more than enough for the average PC user or even gamer... But not for everybody though so there been a lot of options and stuff is necessary though

yup same as the 3070 at 1080p
closer to the 3060ti in more complex games or higher res

Yeah I saw this one on my YouTube homepage... Yikes. Well I guess it's all about the RTX 4070 Ti if somebody wants something more affordable then

yeah I actually think the 4070 is the best deal of all these cards released so far, it's a 3080 12GB for $600 that uses like 150watts less and has DLSS3

the 4070ti I think is overpriced, needs 16GB for $800, like $800 use to buy you the 1080ti or 3080 10GB now it buys you a midrange card

the 3090, 3080 12GB & 3060 12GB used are pretty amazing deals though if someone was okay with buying used

  • May 23, 2023

also Intel Arc & AMD RX 6000/7000 are pretty good deals if you want something new for under $500

these Nvidia cards are all overpriced

Well it's not for me... But yeah sounds like a decent choice I guess if it must be a 40 series Nvidia GPU. But yes some of those 30 series GPU's can be a better deal if the price is right I guess

I hope the 50 series GPU's will be more worth it and the price won't be too much smh compared to what they can do and stuff :/

yeah we will see if the 50 series is a better deal and yeah I'm not trying to buy a new GPU either just like to compare prices

pretty sure I'll just wait for the 5080 or 5090 if they are good enough and not 2k+ lol

wild back in the 10 series the 1060 was as good as the 980ti

now the 60 is barely better than last gen reminds me of Intel back in the day

    the I7 2700k, i7 3770k and i7 4770k all being the exact same performance

I hope so lol... And me too man ain't no way it'll be less than a Nvidia RTX 5080 for me... I'll try to get a RTX 5090/5090 Ti if it doesn't cost TOO MUCH. I expect it to be worth it as I haven't heard anything negative about it so far... But then again we don't really know much about it which we won't until 2024 I guess? Until then so do I wonder if there will be any price cuts or will it be the same until the new GPU's are out besides the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales and the Christmas sales? I guess so... Which doesn't bother me right now since I am not getting one in 2023 anyway

Welp good thing I wasn't part of that Intel era... It sounds like a lot of people got finessed

Have been debating building a PC in a few months but I realized I should wait until a game I’m really anticipating is coming out so I have the latest hardware when it releases. Didn’t really like the GPU market rn either since I think I’d value ray tracing but not at the price that’s necessary

yeah who knows what the GPUs are like by the time they come out

wasn't so bad I kept the same processor for 5 years and still had top of the line specs

yeah I bet if sales aren't very good Nvidia will cut prices some also

GPU prices haven't been this low since mid 2020, especially on the used market

the 4070 & 4090 are actually not too overpriced if you want something new and Nvidia but yeah still could be cheaper

Exactly... Maybe so will the 50 series be better than the 40 one especially if we're talking about the RTX 5060/5060 Ti and RTX 5070/5070 Ti

Really? Damn man... So it was waste of money I guess if somebody upgraded to a newer CPU every year from Intel then

They have too man... Especially if we're talking about the RTX 4060, RTX 4070 etc. as they do need one as they're so far not worth their current price tbh

yeah that's true gamers want lower prices but I think Nvidia & AMD don't care cause they'll just stop producing gaming GPUs and make Datacenter Accelerators, they all have a limited amount of orders they can place with TSMC

that's why I don't think prices go down more than 20% they'd rather just sell chips to people making AI models

Intel's rumored Battlemage is probably the only hope for anyone wanting something 3080-4070ti level around $400.. Intel is still far behind both companies in GPUs but they could catch up to AMD fast

    AMD & Nvidia don't care

idk it's not a bad thing though for people that already have GPUs for now

older GPUs will hold there value if there is only one GPU way faster than all the others and it's $1600

like if the 4060 was near a 3080 and had 16GB of VRAM older GPUs would be trash

  • May 26, 2023

will be starting up my medium a couple times a month for real this time

writing mainly about computer hardware but also a bit of crypto + ai will post the links when i finish the first articles soon 🫡

Exactly... One thing I hope never happens is the whole Cloud gaming thing becoming the main way to game on PC or a very important people of it because then so will AMD, Nvidia and Intel get very lazy and just make a CPU/GPU that can handle that very well and not playing games the old-school way as in downloading them and not having to be online to be able to play them. But luckily so don't I see this happening yet as PC isn't just used to play games on it so that might delay this whole thing for 10-15 years at least... I hope forever... But then again who knows.

Anyway... I am really looking forward to what AMD, Intel and Nvidia will be releasing in 2024

Upgraded my ThinkPad t480 screen it only took 5 days to come from overseas which is insane

The process was so simple too, but I spent an hour almost stripping the last screw before I just went to my parents and got a better screwdriver, it came off immediately lol smh

Looking at copping this, solid price? ebay.com/itm/155621511755?hash=item243bc3d24b:g:HzMAAOSwWPljl2xP

Also played around on Lenovo site and could get a 4070, two 1 tb ssds, ryzen 7 for about 1,550

Already got ram in my current setup I'd just swap over so it'd be 32 regardless, but both come with 16 gb of ram
