My PSU blew up

don't cheap out on a PSU

Hopefully everything else is alright, it blew up but I had to manually shut it off, so hopefully that saved everything else

How did it sound/look

Was it a literal explosion or something less than that

Just upgraded from a GTX 1060 3GB to a RTX 2060 Super

Honestly don’t see any big difference but I’m probably playing the wrong games lol

How do you know what graphics settings to apply to a game

Like an electrical pop sound and a burst of light. Then I started smelling smoke. I was pretty scared when it happened

You bought a $20 PSU or something?

like $60 one, it was pretty old though. over 6 years old.

It's been having issues, but I didn't think it would blow up

550w. Age and it not being a really good quality in the first place

S*** I'm surprised it lasted that long tbh

if it didn't destroy all my other parts I got my money's worth

ordered a RM650x that will be here thrusday so I won't know until then

finalized my build finna pull trigger soon

Upgraded my s***s to 32 GB of Ram. My photoshop files were taking 8gb of ram for just a couple paintings. But I do use 18 x 24in 300dpi paintings for all my projects lol

You ran Minecraft with Raytracing didn't you?

I use the z623 u linked and they sound pretty good for the price (although im no audiophile)

ya they look good and pretty cheap the other one lights up but looks more for gaming, the sound quality is not as good for music though so i will get those ones

Got the RM650x installed and everything is working

None of my parts died

Decided to go with a portrait display for my side monitor

Can anyone recommend some good DD3 ram? Trying to upgrade mine
