when i installed a 3600 for my brother his pc also wouldn't post. we ended up replacing the motherboard which didn't help.
does it just turn on for maybe half a second and then turn back off before posting? if thats the case then i think i can help
how
what's going on with the machine? do you get any beeping? or does nothing happen?
if it's a lower end board it probably doesn't have a speaker, if you get this you'll get a post error code in beeping probably which will tell you what is wrong amazon.com/dp/B01527H4W2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_xZgVDb3NKD5S4
I use to fix lots of computers and that was always very helpful

Doesn’t turn on at all, fans don’t spin either.

Nothing happens, and I did the paperclip test on my PSU so I’m thinking the problem might be the RAM. I’ve actually got one of those otw, but thanks for the suggestion nonetheless!

ahh. for us, there was some issue with the front fans. i recommend putting things together with as few parts as possible, and slowly add more components to figure out which is the problem.

yeah honestly ram, psus and mobos are almost always the issue with a system not posting in my experience I wouldn't be surprised if it's the ram
sure you've already thought of this but if you have two sticks you can try just one at a time and sweet sure the speaker will help a lot

Get some zip ties or get rid of those extra cables in there.
With the number of times I open it up and swap things out, zip ties are a pain. And there is no "extra cables"
