What exactly do I do as far as knowing what to upgrade?

Bought a prebuilt years back and it was decent for the value. But I want something more up to date now

    Specs:

    CPU: AMD FX-8350 8-Core @ 4.0GHz
    4.2GHz Turbo; 8MB L3 Cache; 2x4MB L2 Cache

    MBO: ASUS M5A97 R2.0 (AMD 970)

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 480 4GB

    MEM: 8GB (4GBx2) (11-11-11-29 @ DDR3-1600)
    RamosTek EWB4GB681PAE-16IC

Was considering just getting another prebuilt since a lot of them come with GPUs that are hard to find these days. Mostly looking at Maingear.

Manufacturers slot gpu’s specifically for companies doing pre builds so if you’re fine with a prebuilt that’s the best choice as of now.

that's crazy, I guess I'll just wait it out.

the build I've been using to do my 3D work only has an APU so it's barely getting by

I was looking at the GeForce RTX 2060 Super for like $1k but if prices are all jacked up I'll just wait a couple months, thanks for the advice bro

God damn the 2060 super goes for 1k?

Yeah imma wait for the i7 or i9 12900K as it sounds promising so far... I mean it better be as I haven't heard anything negative about it and that's only about the leaked stuff so far that might not be the final specs and benchmarks (i7/i9 12900K).

    Oh and...

    Nice.

    Nice.

Seems they just released the 11900K just to release something and they know the fanboys and those that didn’t do their research and just know Intel will buy it.

Especially with how quickly their coming with the next series.

Intel's release schedule is totally insane these days and yeah they keep releasing rehashes of the same chips

hopefully these new chips are better, at least they're trying something new with the different speed cores

the main reason Apple left Intel was cause they've been missing perfomance targets for years now and it seems like it's getting worse

Yeah I hope that they've realized what they've done wrong and will correct it with the 12900K and especially the 13900K... I just hope that if by the time I do build a PC so isn't the 13900K out yet so will the i7/i9 12900K be worth it.

    Oh and...

Oh this is for the AMD GPU's... What about one for the Nvidia ones too ASUS?

How often (if ever) do you guys clean dust build up from your PC? I built mine back in late December so I had it for about 4 months now and I check inside semi often for dust but doesn’t seem there’s much in there yet

Probably yeah... But might be worth it if it's done right. I hope that we'll get its price soon though.

every other week I blow it out with a little PC dusting vacuum

I keep my pc in the attic though and it gets coated in dust all the time

if it was in my bedroom where it's less dusty probably less
