I heard Intel might be announcing their GPUs at CES

    guess we will see

Really? Okay I'll see how they are and stuff but it sounds like it'll take them some time to catch up with Nvidia and AMD so they ain't for me so far... Still I am interested though

Intel is working with TSMC on the GPUs they're rumored to be on 7nm TSMC which is definitely better than anything Intel or Samsung can make

part of me thinks Intel could have an edge over AMD in the Data centers and for competing with Cuda but yeah I don't think they will have better gaming performance than RDNA3 & 40 series cards

like even if they get close to AMD & Nvidia right now that won't be enough cause their competing with old cards in 2022, I wonder if Intel will have enough stock I doubt it lol

I want them to succeed tbh... But it'll take some time though. But yeah like I said it'll take some time for that to happen. And yes lol ain't no way that they'll be able to compete against RDNA 3 and the 40 series cards from Nvidia and especially when what we know about what's coming from Nvidia and AMD in 2022 and beyond will easily be better than what Intel will be releasing soon in 2022 and well like 6-9 months before for example Nvidia... Nah fam it won't affect Nvidia and AMD until maybe Intel has been making GPU's for like 5-10 years at least and still so might I still pick Nvidia over them and maybe even AMD over Intel... But let's hope that in the near future so will their GPU's be as good as their CPU's

yeah will be interesting to see how all these new cards run

I feel like Intel is more focused on AI and application acceleration since that's what they've building into the GPUs in their CPUs (Iris graphics & quick sync already better than AMD in that area) and AMD doesn't really compete with Nvidia on that stuff right now as much they do with certain work loads but Nvidia has more general compete type stuff locked down and I feel like part of Intel's reasoning for making GPUs isn't just to sell them to gamers if anything that might be an after thought

Oh yeah true... This whole Intel thing might not be gaming focused but more like AI, cryptomining and maybe content creation... So that means people still going to Nvidia and then AMD if they want something still good and cheaper at the same time. But who knows as Intel might change their mind and still make some gaming GPU's... But anyway I hope those Nvidia GPU's coming in 2022 will be good and I want some 8K monitors besides the old Dell one been revealed in 2022 and if there's OLED 8K monitors running at above 60 Hz... Then GIMME THOSE!!!

Anyway I'll now go back to finding some news about what's next from Nvidia etc.

yeah exactly Intel is more focused on those things if I had to guess and they could make some beast gaming GPUs, the RT cores on RTX cards do Ray Tracing well but they're good at Compete workloads also so it could help Intel cards long term if they go down this path

Nvidia makes crazy money selling cards like the Quadro to Datacenters I'm sure Intel wants some of that

yeah definitely my 3080 has trouble driving my 4k 120hz OLED in some games so it will be interesting to see how much more performance we get

It'll be interesting to see how Nvidia/AMD will react to this if Intel ever takes the GPU's thing seriously and actually does very well... But until then so yeah Intel won't this time around release something interesting so all I am looking forward to is the RTX 4090

Which 4K/HDR-10 @ 120 HZ OLED TV is it that you got btw?

Oh yeah true... I bet that you got your eyes on either a RTX 4080 OC, RTX 4080 Ti OC or RTX 4090 OC

I have the 55 Inch C9, it's my favorite screen tbh love the image so clear and the color is so life like and accurate

yeah definitely will be interesting to see, good we get a little more competition in GPUs

yeah I think I'll get one of those cards or the 7800xt, 7900, 7900xt depending what's faster and when they come out

Oh LG C9... Isn't it from like 2020? Anyway your boy is getting the LG C1 (2021 version) soon famo... I just need a PS5 soon as in like 1-2 months hopefully and of course a PC in 2022 as well hopefully plus some other things to complete my setup of course.

True that... And especially if it's done right and benefits people like gamers and content creators

If I want something from AMD so will it be something like a 7900 XT, 8900 XT etc. but the AMD GPU's are getting better which is good as I like competition and it's good for everybody of course

C9 is the 2019 model, 2020 model is the CX

OLED doesn't get as big of updates as LCDs every year, there are only two big new features with the new ones slightly better brightness and they have a black frame insertion mode a feature that gives OLED a clearer picture mode for gaming but when it's turned on you lose half the brightness

it makes the image extra smooth though on the level of a CRT.. OLED by it's nature looks far more clear then LCDs I personally think 120hz on an OLED is better than 240hz on a LCD

I think I'm going to keep mine for a few more years though cause I bet they'll keep working on the brightness until it's better, the C1 is incredible TV though.. I think it's probably the best gaming TV on the market the A90J is better for movies and TV though

    yeah definitely

Oh I see... Yeah I'm more up-to-date with the Sony and Samsung TV's and especially the Sony TV's. But yeah this LG C1 (2021) TV should be very nice and well I'll maybe the next time get a Sony TV as they do cost a fortune lmfao... But they're worth it though! So probably around 2024-2025 so will I see what Sony has to offer

Hmm gotta experience it myself... My Sony Xperia 1 III has 4K and 120 Hz though and it's very smooth and nice to experience and now so will I finally have a TV that can do it as well. Now what's next? A monitor that does 4K @ 144 Hz (Or higher) or even 8K @ 144 Hz or something higher if possible. Also man I hope that these monitors will be OLED and be able to do that hopefully so my setup is complete

Now so is the question is if to get a 27" or bigger monitor... If I do read a lot about the smaller monitors been better so will I get them or if the HUGE monitors are also as good or close to the smaller ones so will I get 3-4 of them and have that dream setup besides also the custom PC itself and the other things related to it like the keyboard, mouse, some Elgato products, the desk, chair etc. and then so am I ready to go and to take things to the next level... A brotha has a lot of big things to do in 2022 or 2023 and beyond

    Btw...

    https://twitter.com/wccftech/status/1467798863029235712

I use to use 27 inch monitors like for 12 years I had some diff ones it's def a nice size but these days I'm just so much more use to bigger screens honestly

whenever i use something 27 inches it feels a lil small now, I had 3 27 inch monitors but now I just use one huge ones and an ipad mostly as a side display

the one nice thing tho about using a 27 inch is that a 4k image looks way sharper if you sit real close to it vs a tv that's all blown up

LG has been making 32 inch OLED panels finally but the prices are insane lol,

nice wonder what the Ryzen 6950x will run like tho coming out here soon enough

yeah imo LG and Samsung are the best Display brands in the world, Sony has great TVs also their OLED panels are just rebranded from LG but they do usually take the image to another level compared to what LG does with the same panel

they source most their Displays from lots of different companies from my understanding Sony really only makes a couple super high end Panels for HDR color grading for movies and things, they def know how to get the colors better than most tho with the Displays they pick.. but I get annoyed by their lack of basic gaming features like VRR

LG & Samsung makes their own CPUs for their TVs so they have a lot more control over software which is why they're on the bleeding edge of gaming features putting stuff out before everyone while Sony is 3-4 years behind them

Yeah I've seen that OLED LG PC monitor and it's mainly for content creators and its HDR-10 is 600 and not 1000 so yeah not for me haha... Plus it doesn't have the gaming features I am looking for and is missing stuff like ALLM, VRR, 120 Hz (HDMI 2.1)/144 Hz (DP 1.4) and probably other stuff that I want in a OLED PC monitor... So ASUS, Acer, LG, Samsung etc. please do better and release something good in 2022 please!

Oh yeah it's going to be interesting to see how the next CPU from AMD and Intel will be... I hope Intel keeps killing it so everyone wins in the end I really want them to keep the momentum going!

Yeah Sony know what they're doing... But they need to take the gaming features for their TV's more seriously and while they're at it release gaming monitors as well... I mean what's stopping them from doing this? They can most definitely do it. So maybe them releasing games on PC will finally make them do it and finally give us something in 2022 or 2023 hopefully. But yeah Sony, Samsung and LG is my go to brands so far if we're talking about TV's but ASUS, Acer, MSI etc. do have the potential to also be part of my list so I hope they keep making those huge PC monitors/TV's

    Oh and...

Talks about the release date for the RTX 3090 Ti too!

True... I'm into big TV's or monitors anyway so I'll see what I'll pick in 2022 but do hope that it'll all be OLED stuff including the monitors as well or if not then the best kind of non-OLED monitors and at even 8K hopefully. I really hope that 2022 will be good for monitors and TV's as well and not just PC parts and cables haha

Hmm yeah... AMD's CPU's and GPU's coming in 2022 etc. do sound interesting and I hope both Nvidia and Intel is working on something exciting. I know Intel has something interesting coming in 2022 which is the i9 13900K... But what about Nvidia? I hope something more than the RTX 3090 Ti. I mean the 40 series GPU's should be out in 2022 right? So I do expect something around September-October 2022 or I'll have to get the RTX 3090 Ti if I've to wait until Q3 or Q4 2023 before a new GPU series is out :/
