Good s*** looks real sleek
i buckled and finally got a 1440p/144hz monitor
my gpu isn't quite up to the task but i've got a long return window on it if i don't like it
True... I'm into big TV's or monitors anyway so I'll see what I'll pick in 2022 but do hope that it'll all be OLED stuff including the monitors as well or if not then the best kind of non-OLED monitors and at even 8K hopefully. I really hope that 2022 will be good for monitors and TV's as well and not just PC parts and cables haha
Hmm yeah... AMD's CPU's and GPU's coming in 2022 etc. do sound interesting and I hope both Nvidia and Intel is working on something exciting. I know Intel has something interesting coming in 2022 which is the i9 13900K... But what about Nvidia? I hope something more than the RTX 3090 Ti. I mean the 40 series GPU's should be out in 2022 right? So I do expect something around September-October 2022 or I'll have to get the RTX 3090 Ti if I've to wait until Q3 or Q4 2023 before a new GPU series is out :/
yeah that's been the rumors, major updates from everyone next year on the GPU front
definitely
speaking of next Gen Displays, I'm most excited for QD-OLED (Samsung branding) or NanoCell OLED (LG branding) should add a big upgrade to OLED
exciting

For sure
And hmm... Exciting man. I wonder what Sony will be doing with their 2022 OLED TV's though... But yes the stuff from Samsung and LG sounds very exciting. But I am of course also exciting to see how the monitors/TV's from ASUS, Acer, MSI will be like in 2022 as well

yeah next year will be good.. should be interesting to see what is announced at CES in terms of displays, only a few more weeks now
if LG and Samsung do it everyone will either copy them or use their panels so there is a good chance Sony and monitor brands have Quantum dot OLED sooner or later
How much would I need to spend to be able to play games at 1440-4k at just 60fps? I know absolutely nothing about pc specs or prices but Idaf about all that 240hz or whatever I just want 60fps at least 1440
Based in EU but anyone know where i can get an estimation of my setup before selling ? thx in advance

Hmm yeah I can see Sony going with what LG has or maybe something else. But yes very interesting stuff indeed. Anyway Sony's press conference at CES 2022 is 1/4/2022 5 PM PT
@Mace How much are you willing to pay? And is that including the monitor?

in I'll definitely be paying attention to CES a lot as always

Lots of stuff to pay attention to... Yessir!
Sony, Samsung, LG, Intel, Nvidia, AMD etc. Man this will be for us Tech guys for sure!!!
Btw...
Gonna ask again because I really need help.
How much would I need to spend to be able to play games at 1440-4k at just 60fps? I know absolutely nothing about pc specs or prices I’d be looking at or even what parts I need for it to be able to handle that but I really want a pc. idc about all that 240hz or anything crazy I just want 60fps at least 1440

You want to look into graphics cards that can do that (iunno tbh) and build a pc around that:
-cpu that works well with that gpu
-psu have enough watts to support both of those (+ the other pieces)
-and a monitor that supports 1440+
Hope that helps a bit :$
building my first pc next week and its been a long time coming
f*** this current GPU market though, I hope crypto crashes soon
i bought all my parts last night
Intel Core i5-10400F CPU
EVGA 220 650W PSU
MSI B560M PRO mobo
Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4 RAM
Using an OEM brand GTX 970 i've had for years collecting dust in an old pre-built, I want to get some of the new mid-range to high-end AMD GPUs but the mining market is really making resell price overkill for them

how much is in your budget for a new gpu?
if i were you i'd consider picking up a rtx 2060 super or 3060 (or amd equivalent, i think the rx 6600 fits) then sell the 970. those cards go for around $500 and the 970 can go for about $150-200 atm.
i went from a 970 to a 2060 super and it was a ~80% increase in performance across the board.

I would get a new GPU, but the resale market is f***ed and s*** gets hardly restocked for MSRP.
I just got some cash in off Grailed and I know I could make around $200 - $250 based off current market rates for the GTX 970 but I'm still hesistant, my budget is around $350 - $400 but I don't want to blow that cash on a really mid card that's going for double its very recent value.
I think I might just wait it out until early 2022 when the new s*** starts dropping, and I know some people are gonna sell their old s*** for cheap based off hype, especially with that new Intel tech.
Okay yeah the name is officially RTX 3090 Ti now
@Lil_Neon_Baebows
oh in also very in at more arc leaks

Yessir... Let's see if I decide to get a RTX 3090 Ti or RTX 4090 during 2022. So yeah by the Summer of 2022 so will I make my decision famo
Oh yeah Intel is making some moves now I see... I hope that they do succeed and do make killer GPU's as well in 2024 or something
Anyone get or give any fun hardware parts?
Got a monitor stand (finally have the 1-vertical, 1 horizontal monitor setup )
And a 4tb HDD ima use in a home server
