Wait... RTX 4090 Ti? Same year as RTX 4090 or what? I wouldn't mind that so I can just get that one instead of waiting for it!
@neon
almost 5 slots why is it so huge
that sounds crazy tho
yeah supposedly 40 series cards later this year

Sounds like Nvidia is going in this year
Yeah I know... But the Ti version of it too though? I mean a Ti version of the RTX 4090?

yes true can't wait to see these new cards
yes true can't wait to see these new cards
Word... I can't wait for the OC versions of them though. I hope the price isn't too much though compared to 2021 at least. I won't like it been more impossible to get one besides what happened last year with the whole low stock thing and the whole scalpers situation.
Other than that... Man oh man... Bring it on Nvidia and AMD (Intel too in the future as well I guess )

yeah Intel Ark GPUs end of the year supposedly (we've heard that from Intel before though and they're always delaying stuff lol)
yeah super excited for the new Nvidia and AMD stuff

Yeah... I think I'll wait until the next Intel GPU's are out or the ones after them as I think it'll take Intel some time to be on AMD's level at least and then maybe 2-3 years more to be as good or close to Nvidia. I think they got the potential to do some good stuff so I'll keep an eye on their CPU's and in the next 4-6 years their GPU's too
One thing is for sure though... Yeah those RTX 4090/4090 Ti GPU's will need a bigger PC case and a more powerful PSU for sure!

yeah 4.5 slots will need a huge case & PSU for sure bet it heats your room like a space heater also lol
yeah will be interesting to see all the new GPUs

Gonna be nice having a warm room every time it gets cold which is like 6 months every year where I live at least haha!
But yes I hope that RTX 4090/4090 Ti will be able to handle 8K @ 60 FPS games and course other 8K content as I think I've had enough of 4K and I think it's time for more 8K content to be made and finally be the next thing as 4K has been there for 10 years at least so I think in late 2022 or early-mid 2023 is the right time for 8K to be more wide spread
So yeah time to save some money up for sure!
Also check this out fam...

https://twitter.com/OC3D/status/1527951584155426816yeah true if you are somewhere like you live it's probably nice to have but I'm running my AC 8 months of the year whenever I turn on my 3080 already
yeah with DLSS I could see it running 8k 60fps on some games
yeah I'm sure the 4090ti will be $3k or something lol
damn looks huge
Ethereum merge (end of GPU mining) August-November, millions of GPUs hitting eBay.. we should see a GPU supply overflow and price cuts finally by 2023 especially on older models (20 series & 30 series)
2019 when mining became unprofitable something similar happened

Damn okay lol... No wonder why these 30 series GPU's need some good cooling
DLSS 2.0 right? I've heard that DLSS 3.0 should be even better!
I won't be surprised if the RTX 4090 Ti GPU's are around $2500 - $3000... I hope not over $2000 - $2500 though... As I want it to be the GPU that I'll get
Yeah man... It seems like it'll be a beast. I really can't wait to see what it can do!

rumors saying Nvidia in August, AMD in September
not a build question, and maybe the improper place to ask (i don't know where else to go tbh, reddit for this stuff is terrible and reddit's killed most forums), but any laptop recs? just lost my second keycap on my current laptop, and it seems the only way to go is to replace the keyboard itself, but i only plan on using this machine for another year or so. nothing wrong with it, i could probably keep it running for 15 more years, i'm just a luddite and a minimalist
budget of ideally under usd$1k, it's for schoolwork and i value weight most. i travel light and prefer to carry nothing. tablet is a viable path, though i've always thought tablets to be wasteful and redundant with smartphones existing. i'd need to be able to do some programming, and while that is possible, it would be less easy than on a proper desktop computer. i do have a desktop pc that would do the job, but for the sake of portability, that option is out
i could go and get a used thinkpad x200 series i have always wanted one, they're inexpensive as well.
excuse this ramble, but if anyone could be of assistance, i'd be grateful. thanks.
Pulled the trigger on EVGA 3080 FTW. Anyone know where I can sell my 3070?
r/hardwareswap, ebay, or facebook marketplace
if you're trying to dodge the IRS you can do local sales in cash on r/hardwareswap and craigslist lolol
yeah sure DLSS 3 will be fire
yeah can't wait to see
rumors saying Nvidia in August, AMD in September
For sure
Most definitively famo
August? Hmm... Wow like 1-2 months earlier at least... But I guess this means RTX 4090 Ti this year or like 1-2 months earlier than the last time. So some time in Q1-Q2 2023 maybe? Anyway this should be good
AMD in September 2022... Oh man I hope it's good as well!
Also it seems like Sony/AMD will have something for the console gamers in Holiday 2023 or Holiday 2024
Ethereum merge (end of GPU mining) August-November, millions of GPUs hitting eBay.. we should see a GPU supply overflow and price cuts finally by 2023 especially on older models (20 series & 30 series)

eth merge with btc? or are they going proof of stake then?
For sure

https://twitter.com/_Tom_Henderson_/status/1529491530800668674new consoles in 2023 seems so soon but we will see, maybe a slim in 2023 and the pro in 2024 🤔
yeah I bet Nvidia does a similar roll out to the 30 series with the 4080 first and then other cards coming out later yeah maybe around then for 3090ti

yes merge with the Proof of Stake chain
the Ethereum Proof of Stake chain has been working as a separate Beacon Chain since 2020
they will merge the Ethereum PoW state on to the PoS chain

ooo very exciting, might finally upgrade my rx570 :P
yes very exciting gamers actually getting cards for normal prices again if it's a success, the testnets have all gone fine tho
I had a trusty rx580 for years lol never failed me

Yeah could be that way... Or like in 2016 so a PS5 Slim September 2023 or September 2024 and PS5 Pro November 2023 or November 2024.
Yeah probably first the FE versions of the RTX 4060, RTX 4070, RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 and then the OC versions of them, some Ti versions of the RTX 4060, RTX 4070, RTX 4080 and then the FE version of the RTX 4090 Ti first or at the same time also allowing ASUS etc. to release the OC versions of it as well.
I hope the wait won' be long though so I can get the RTX 4090 Ti though
