Uploading is a pain in the ass though, DB and One Piece
Don't even get me started on Batman TAS
Lots of devices have trouble with subtitles and they tend to transcode them. Ever since I upgraded to an Apple TV nothing ever transcodes. Also heard good things about Nvidia shields
might check out Nvidia Shield

For DB, Batman, and futurama it’s wild. DB I had to rename everything to match TVDB, futurama I had dvd order and had to go within plex options and add the movies at the end of season 4, and Batman is just f***ed up and out of order lmfao
Need to pick up my external drives I want to get.
I want to have one for all my sons kids movies and then one for my fatass

I manually did Futurama and DB but Batman I just gave up on. F*** all that

I gave up, it was way too much work and the people that made TVDB won't fix it after numerous complaints.

aww t***, guess ill just play it off my HD then
So is this pirating or having all your subscription s*** pull up in one app?
Neither. It is uploading movie files to a server you create that way you can play them anywhere anytime. Yes you could put a bunch of pirated movies but you could also just rip blu rays and upload them if you have a drive
I want to do this but at the same time blu rays >>>>>
Been thinking bout finally setting one up
Do it, it's gonna take some time but it's worth it

I mean with the right tracker you can buy a bunch of blank blu ray 50gb... and download 1:1 blu ray copies and burn em to the disks for about 60$ per 50. Or if you care about the quality download the remux cause that’s the exact video file. Also features are easy to find on private trackers, and plex takes features too

Do it. It’s amazing once set up

That’s cool and all but so much work and doesn’t support the industry at all
Not to mention I only watch old movies and some foreign movies which can be hard to find
Just added a whole bunch of anime to my plex... debating moving it to another category so it can default to Japanese audio track, and leave anime’s I prefer in dub to my tv show folder
Copped a new 12 tb drive for 98$ using a plex coupon on top of a sale time to fill this bad boy up
Anyone ever used a macbook pro to set up a plex server? How'd you go about it?
been doing it for 5 years through an external hard drive with a 2014 mbp (i only plug in and turn on plex when I want to watch stuff). I leave my mac asleep and just direct stream everything to my xbox or smart tv in the living room. It does like max out your cpu if you have to transcode stuff so I try to avoid that.

This is what I've been planning on doing for a while, just haven't gotten to it.
Plex is so slept on.
I'm not sure why when I put on certain subtitles it starts transcoding I try my best not to transcode
I've also just found out not too long ago that x265 files run so heavy so i have to redo some of my library
might just do that tho upgrade my main pc some more & run off that
use something with a modern quick sync iGPU and you'll be able to do 4 4k h265 files at once no problem
