i need a running partner .
need some help my fat ass cant run more than 400 m without getting tired
Damn thatās a complete half marathon
I donāt do it everyday, I try to do it at least once every 2 weeks
5 days a week I do 3 miles every morning
If youre really new then it really is just a buildup.
Dont try to overdo it & dont trip about not lasting 40mins+ in one continuous session right off the bat.
Doesnt hurt to take a few minutes break between running too in the beginning.
Also dont start out full sprinting. Start with a walk, then light jog for a bit then the run.
You gotta build up the resistance & get your muscles used to it. Then over time you will notice you'll be able to do a lil more n more over time, as long as you keep at it regularly.
It can take a month to a few months, think of it like lifting weights. Start out with the bar n maybe some tens, then slowly build up.
thanks man. and yeah i usually start out walking for at least 5 minutes before i start, and i have to take breaks between running cuz i cant do it all at once lol
How do I format this? Added img tags but didnāt work
! then link without space also copy the image not the address
Honestly bro, only way to get rid of the pain in the area is to work them more, get through and push through it. Also buy some shoes with some foam and tie those mothafuckas tight
Running is honestly 90% mental and breathing technique. Stand up straight and donāt slouch at all, head up and forward, lift ya knees up, push your hips out and go
Breath through your nose and out through your mouth. Move your arms and in my experience taking longer strides is better, because thereās less hard impact on your feet, I have long legs tho.
yeah i think i just have to try to focus on running properly and make a habit out of the whole thing.

No problem! & yeah the beginning is always the hardest to get into & keep at it. Dont get discouraged just because you cant last a straight 40mins right away, almost no one is great at running continuously at first. Its all about the build up, & the discipline to keep at it constantly.
Good luck
Fell off in May because I got sick a bunch of times. Hoping to get over 100km this month again
Damn thatās a lot. How long have you been running?
since i was 17 so five years so far but ill go months without like if its winter time so its not consistent
will 100% run outside during good weather though

Donāt push yourself. Build a habit of doing 400m every day. Slow down when you feel youāre gasping for air. Control your effort, donāt worry about pace. That picks up over time naturally. And your effort should be E A S Y at these beginning stages.

Skipping rope is so dreadful. I really hated it when I tried it for a while.

1. Get an Apple Watch
2. Download Nike Run Club app
3. Play the guided runs on āGetting Startedā series. The first one is My First Run.
This is akin to having a coach. Itās very difficult to train yourself. I only learned how to really run this way. I enjoy running instead of dreading it now because Iāve learnt how to actually run.
+1 for NRC, s*** helped me get back into running after i stopped for a few years
