My 2nd run on a track, it felt great
I really didn't even feel tired at the end and I wasn't breathing hard either. I felt super light. I put a lot more focus on my pacing and it worked, look at my splits

Basketball and running probably caught up to me. Not much of a stretcher too and that probably did me in. But we’ll see
You alright?
You alright?
Yeah thank god my knee feels straight. Been hooping full court no problem. Might start jogging again. You got any tips to ramp up? I find it so difficult once I’m out of rhythm

Glad to hear it
I think you're talking about just getting back into the habit of running regularly but I'd recommend stretching regularly (think this is super important for you) and having some kind of cool down after you hoop (walking for 20 minutes after and walking/stretching in between games if you're running 5s)
Also if you can and have access I'd recommend so swimming too - great for getting in shape and way easier on your body
For just getting in the habit of running I'd say try not to immediately hold yourself to whatever you were doing before the injury - mentally or physically.
I'd say just get out there for a mile regularly to just get back in the habit and build from there

Good ass advice brodie
Yeah I meant getting back to running. It’s been a cool minute but I want to start running in the mornings before work again. Gotta get that Nike app back in

Preciate it heavy and yeah I realized that after the first half of what I wrote but I think all the maintenance/care for your body stuff is important in general and especially important for you considering you haven't run regularly for a while and dealt with an injury recently
I've been going on 8-10+ mile walks a few times a week in the mornings and what's pivotal to making that happen for me and I think could help you with getting back into it with morning runs is making sure you go to sleep early AND get quality sleep on the days you want to run in the morning
When I make that happen I'm out for my walk no problem no later than 4:30
Wanted to go on one today but f***ed up my sleep last night

Bro I wake up like death every morning. You do those length of walks? You recovering from an injury too?

Man you gotta get your sleep right if you're trying to get back to morning runs and just in general to have your body and mind at its best
How's your sleep hygiene?
And yeah whenever I manage to get out in the morning for walks I try to do somewhere in between six and ten
Not recovering from a physical injury but I've been through a lot of severe trauma and life threatening situations over the last few years so it's extremely hard to do things so for now I'm just keeping it at walking when I can manage it in the mornings
