Not really, I just signed up bc I run 5Ks for normal exercise and want a motivation to improve my best time. So Iāve continued to run 5Ks some days and a mile+weights other days

My PR for 5K is 22:48. I got that last summer running at a park I hadnāt ever ran at before. I havenāt gotten close to that time since (usually closer to 25min) but I also havenāt been back to the park, and yeah my goal is to eventually get sub 20 too

Thank you! Part of me feels like I got a boost from running in a new area. I usually take the same routes close to where I live. Also, I think my times improved bc I started running in the winter a year ago to keep in shape.

Nothing competitive thus far i've done about 7 parkruns and about two races but i haven't been competitive about them.
I'm part of a running club, so it's mostly a social event for me, although i love improving all the time which does motivate me.

Nice, I should see about joining a local group. I sorta like being alone w my thoughts while exercising but the social aspect could be cool. I imagine you get a bit of extra motivation from the stronger runners too

i really love solo running too because i love going through albums and my playlists but having company is also dope. None of us take it that seriously so it's pretty chill atmosphere
