Yea, it’s f***ing tedious but people swear by it. I think it’s harder to do than to just go balls out and haul ass.

You really need a watch that can measure your heartbeat per minute. An Apple Watch can if you got it. Then you just stick to that zone the entire time. It helps build your aerobic base with the lowest physiological cost, so when you do workout at higher intensities, you are using less energy. It also prevents injury which allows you to workout more and get more miles in throughout your week.

I’m sure there’s more articles that go in greater detail than I can.

    Thanks for the insight

Yeah I agree with you 100%, I find it difficult to hover around the zone 2 area. I will try it though.

After 2 months of training, I completed my first half marathon this past weekend. I felt good throughout and probably could've pushed myself more but was having stomach issues and didn't want to push it lol

  • Just did a 20 minute run at 5MPH last night and I gotta say that left me feeling a literal "different" type of tired like I legit wanted to just sit in my car seat and doze off. And I think running that late right before bed at 1AM made me have funny dreams, can anyone relate?

  • Finished my first quarter marathon (12k) after a six-month recovery period. It feels good although running 12ks used to feel like nothing but now I have to actually train for it
