Sometimes I take a few bong rips before a neighborhood jog with the headphones on. Feels great everytime but I enjoy sprinting, sparring, swimming and ab work more for my cardio or just in general
oh s*** run thread
we should have a list of runner in op with their longest run and pace (has to be verified with nike run club screenshot)
Went on a 2 mile run.
Lifted weights, did calisthenics and core exercises and 1 minute plank after.
wow that's incredible, how tall are you?
I'm 6'3" so my stride is pretty big

Yeah sounds good, but I’m not a big fan of measuring pace. I think it’s individualistic and very dependent on height, terrain, running goals, etc. Focusing on pace can also make you run for the wrong reasons. I don’t think most people are sprinters or anything here. But yeah idk.

First run since November (so embarrassed, I didn’t realise it had been so long)
Felt like my body was gonna collapse at like 2km so I’m proud

nice
don't go so hard every time, you should be running your fastest at the end of the run, so control your pace at the start and go slower than you're capable of
Swear I look sexy as f*** when I’m sweaty after a run 👀
my face always red and flushed after a run
nice

Yeah you’re right, although I felt better when I pushed through. Now that I’ve gotten over that mental hurdle I’ll definitely be more conservative in future runs.

facts on my first few runs I was over eager and would get gassed after like 2 miles
sometimes its fun to try to beat your fastest mile at the start tho
Any of yall have flat feet and run?
Been dealing with constant shin splints for the past 2 years and im pretty sure its cus of that.
It makes it so I can p much never improve on my run, which being in the army, means doing all the "cool s***" is outta the question
how do you guys avoid getting blisters? i get them on the backs of my heels. is it something your feet just get used to and build callouses or w.e?
i might need to try some different socks tbh
