May 23, 2021·1 replyI don’t know how it is with anyone else, but the amount of times I have to reboot the system because the screen is black or frozen or the radio isn’t working is super frustrating.
Also, I didn’t think there was anything I’d miss about my normal Toyota, but the lack of blind spot indicators on the windows on my Model 3 is beyond stupid. Feels like I’m driving a car from the 90s because of it.

So I gotta say, I really enjoy autopilot (I bought the FSD package), but holy s***, it freaks me out sometimes.
Most of the time it's super smooth and the auto-steering is absolutely amazing and a complete game changer, but when cars come to a sudden stop on the freeway I feel like I would react way faster and smoother than the autopilot does. It's like super obvious that it needs to slow down, but it waits until the last second and puts on the breaks harder than it needs to.
I feel like 99.9 times out of 100 it would never hit the car in front of me, but that's not the problem, the problem is that the sudden breaking is unnecessary and could easily lead to the car behind me hitting me if it's tailgating me. I've needed to take control so many times because I don't trust it/the person behind me.
I will say that this has gotten a lot better though. I’ve probably driven over 2,000 miles on autopilot at this point and it’s been super smooth for the most part lately.
Maybe it just needed to get broken in a bit.

you can hit the right scroll wheel left and right to change the braking distance, i set mine to brake earlier and i feel like it’s smooth as hell. i don’t have FSD tho just normal autopilot

why is it draining so much from idle? It’s a 2020 model 3
Do high temps effect this? It was 90-100 this week also
