Regardless i think the time off, as long as it is spent with family or friends that are family, is still a very nice holiday. as long as your seeing your people and have the day to see them, its still good for me

i agree but the whole “spirit” behind these holidays have lost their value, which in turn makes all the things we do to prepare seem overdone cause it’s like im just happy to have some time off and to see fam or friends, not all that extra performative stuff
