Teach is all about working smarter, not harder. Rayleigh there giving problems, with his crew already out of commission, throw in Boa, and Koby, and those baby Lunarians and yeah it probably was a mix of the two. He's not gonna go into a situation where he perceives even 1% worth of risk, but he also chaotic and snatched up Koby cause he came up with something on the spot

Yeah, but its interesting that he seems to forget about his impressive abilities when he faces someone of high status. Any other character in blackbeard's shoes would feel like that man, he instead is scared ahen he sees that old man. Really plays in his work smarter not harder approach to things. Hope oda keeps the ball rolling for at least some more chapters, i just love him a lot and want to see more. Same for shanks but im ready to give up on shanks screentime lol
