Zoro at the beginning was a cocky jackass tbf
this tbh, i think we kinda forgot how he was because it’s been so long
Completed the live action and I must say I enjoyed it as someone who's never watched or read One Piece. This is probably the best live action anime attempt yet. Solid 8/10. I might pick up the manga or anime at some point
Is there anywhere online to read the anime/manga from the beginning for free?
To read:
tcbscans.com/mangas/5/one-piece?date=2-9-2023-15
viz.com/shonenjump/chapters/one-piece
First link has all of the chapters, second link is the official translations but only goes back to the three most recent chapters unless you pay (it's a few dollars a month)
Lot of people prefer tcb as the official translations can feel a bit stiff but there can be issues with tcb too so I'd say combine it with watching the anime
If you have any questions you can ask in here too (be careful looking stuff up cause you can get spoiled, didn't happen to me when I was catching up and looking stuff up but just wanted to warn you)
To watch:
Crunchyroll
Or here for free:
I watched the unedited anime until I was caught up and then started reading and watching weekly but One Piece in episode filler can be a big turn off for people so there's also
Which removes as much in episode filler as possible
(one pace doesn't have all the material though so you'll have to combine it with the unedited anime and/or manga at times if you go that route)
Also I think you have to download One Pace but I might be wrong on that and there might be a place to stream
@trash_star @Jake you know anything about that? ^^^
One piece was already popular af but seeing this bring in new fans is dope as hell

yeah you have to torrent one pace but i highly recommend it, that's what i used to start and catch up before switching to the manga. iirc it ends up taking around 50% less time with one pace.
it looks like alabasta, jaya, skypiea and water 7 are the only arcs not complete pre timeskip, so i'd watch the regular anime for those arcs. then it's all one pace until you hit wano, which you could either switch to the manga or the regular anime

Yeah I’m super surprised by how fun the r Netflix version was to me.
Stopped watching the anime a while ago at like ep.5 but am currently continuing my watch

Goofy ahh show
Like, what does this accomplish that the anime doesn't? I'm watching this, and I guess it's pretty harmless, but it just feels like it shouldn't exist in the first place. They also shot it super awkwardly (lots of strange angle choices), which in turn gives it a very amateurish feel at times.
It's cool, and a lot of OP fans seem to be enjoying it, but I'm curious to see how non-OP fans react to this.
Well, if the show is effectively introducing more people to the manga, I guess it does serve a good purpose, and I stand corrected.
One piece was already popular af but seeing this bring in new fans is dope as hell
And we all know that if they pick up the anime or manga from where the live action ended, there will be alot of lifetime fans created

He’s a known troll in the wrestling bubble lol
S1: East Blue
S2: Baroque Works
skip Skypeia
S3: Enies Lobby/Water 7
S4: Thriller Bark/Sabaody (Could squeeze in Amazon Lily)
S5: Impel Down/Marineford/Post War
How I see the show going if it gets renewed

Nah Nigga I need to see Eminem casted as Enel

I love Skypeia but it’s one of the arcs that could be glossed over. But tbh I don’t think it will because of what happens to the Going Merry

It’s crazy because I f***ing loved the world of Skypeia when I first saw it. Fascinated by a world in the clouds. We need Skypeia for 1) what you said bout the going merry
And 2) if not for anything but Gold Roger’s writing on the bell
