i agree it will still take a long time to catch up but i think we could end up getting more than 24 episodes a year. if netflix is the one producing this and replacing the traditional committee that funds anime productions then netflix could throw the bag at WIT and get them to either drop or not take on other projects. not saying i'd want WIT to just become a one piece studio but if netflix paid them to make op their top priority i could see us getting seasons that are 40+ episodes long. kinda like how pierrot did kingdom at the start

Hard to speculate we don't know the contract terms or scheduling and other stuff WIT already has under their belt. Recent example of Netflix pairing with a studio would David Productions with Jojo's and Spriggan. They could do the next Jojo's part right now, but I don't think that is in the works at present.

They seem to have much more investment in One Piece of course, but it's a lot of things at play, guess we'll find out whenever more information comes out.

But if they do the standard anime industry schedule like I doubt we'd even get to timeskip by 2030.

Berserk so desperately deserves a great anime adaptation but I could see it being difficult to adapt faithfully, especially the black swordsman arc

The first adaptation and movies weren’t so bad. They animated the eclipse very well which was gory and had that scene. Just some material was cut but if they are willing to animate that much then yeah. But I digress, im interested to see what WIT will do with this even if I don’t think it should get it before others.

By the time this remake is potentially on like season 3, the manga and original anime could be done or wrapping up.
