when kalgara said he’d keep ringing the bell for noland cmon man

ik it’s a flashback but’s it’s probably the most emotional scene so far in the series (even more so than vivi’s speech imo)

I love the jaya/skypiea saga. Top 5 STILL imo. Don't understand the hate it gets for people new to the series. Wild that skipping skypiea has become a meme

I'm really a disgusting human being
Started One Piece in mid September and now I'm on Egghead Arc and about to run out of dub to watch

    4.5 months?????
Disgusting, I should be on Marineford or Thriller Bark or something

Thank God for fan edits that remove filler
    But still
i really watched the whole big 3 & heard an opener/ending less than 10 times

Cause it's such a long story that you really don't get lost. You just pick it up like any soap opera that runs for 20+ years. He writes in such a simple, episodic, and straightforward way that any kid or geezer can be attached to the characters.

Literally still have no complaints after starting in the wano arc.

It's kinda similar to meeting a new group of friends and just being friends with them from that point on

  • The same chapter they reveal that Gaban is Ripley's husband they call him the Mountain Eater

This isn't true, the whole story is a culmination of years, multiple chapters/episodes, well developed themes, world building and is always building on itself

You and I'm sure many others are enjoying that level because that's what you've chosen to do by doing things like starting at Wano and that's fine but you'd have no way of knowing what I'm talking about because of skipping 90 percent of the story

you started at wano? i stg im not trynna be a d***, but what's the point of even watching the show? there's so much great storytelling and foreshadowing going on during the early arcs that will go over your head if you start so late

are you gonna watch the WIT remake when that drops at least?

I don't think that means he still doesn't write in a straightforward way. It's still an all ages story with the anime skewed to younger folks.

Either ways it's a compliment that it's a story that anyone can pick up vs another long story like Beserk or Hunter x Hunter

Literally just because my gf played it when she was catching up. I wasn't that motivated to watch it at all. I've watched the live action next and continued with the manga slowly.

You should check out One Pace if you haven't looked into it already?

I want you to have a good experience going from nothing but the manga to checking out the anime and One Pace cuts out as much in episode filler as possible
