Kaido already theoretically knew about them he just didn’t believe I don’t think and he didn’t want to kill Momo I think out of respect for Oden in a weird way. That’s why Jack showed up to Zou and was sure Raizo was there and why Kaido even let Momo after he seen him get a chance to disown his name. He just wanted the scabbards to ask about what Oden knew about the One Piece which is why he said leave them alive.

She's always had this bipolar personality. She can be heartless, but also a sweetheart with morals. Hence her whole motif of candy and food.

It’s not that improbable for BM to act like this. She has 80 kids and did protect Fishman Island just cuz they had candy to give. But considering what SH did to her and are in front of her it’s a bit forced for me.

Like it’s amazing how many people misinterpret BM as a character not because of the writing but simply because of the perception they want every Yonkou to have. What we’ve seen in this chapter is what BM has been steming from when she was a child. It’s so boring how people think anyone strong needs zero personality and no flaws.
