As far as the cheating thing. He’s more so trying to understand himself why he cheated and has those desires. Trauma is a huge reason people have vices and do things like that

I also always thought him wearing the crown was because that’s how people viewed him. And even deeper than that, Jesus didn’t put the crown of thorns on himself. Roman soldiers put it on him to mock him. So take that how you wanna take it

I agree We Cry Together is not enjoyable and I think the idea was executed terribly but man if you didn’t feel anything listening to Mother I Sober I genuinely feel bad for you

I respect when people just openly say “I’m just not a fan of the production” or aren’t into this type of music rather than making up a bunch of stupid reasons that don’t make sense or just s*** on it because dumbass b****es without personalities don’t listen to it so they think “I might look like a nerd if I like or respect this”

Jay Z and Denzel Curry were able to make albums dealing with similar subject matter and still delivered on bars and punchlines. I value that in rap, I like listening to something for the 50th time and realizing "Oh s***, Andre said Woozy in the head and comatose. Head and toes ". Mr Morale doesn't have moments like that. And you guys keep trying to invalidate this critique but you're never able to provide examples. Yes the album has some callbacks to previous Kendrick lyrics. But there's little in the form of wordplay, a fundamental aspect of rap

Kendrick doesn't really express remorse for the cheating. He describes doing it, deflects with humor, describes the effect it had on Whitney, eventually provides a possible reason (disconnected from himself) for it. Again, this is something Jay-Z did better. You chose to let the listeners in and make your album about this, it's fair for me to say I wanted more accountability

Mother I Sober is such a minimalistic, slow song and the content is heavy. You fw it, that's fine. But it should be easy to see why someone would not enjoy listening to Kendrick talk about his mother's sexual abuse and slavery.

You niggas are so annoying with the discourse around this album, it's like we HAVE to like it because it's another Kendrick album. I love GKMC, TPAB probably my favorite album of all time. But this album just wasn't it imo and I explained why. It's not the production, Auntie Diaries is actually a very great beat. But I'm not listening to it for obvious reasons

I think Honestly Nevermind by Drake is absolutely f***ing horrible and he completely missed what he was going for but I don’t gotta remind everyone how trash I think it is everytime someone even mentions Drake. I ain’t talked about that album since it dropped because I didn’t like it so I moved on

I ain’t saying your one of the people that do that and I respect you for appreciating Melt My Eyez and 4:44 but I’m just tired of seeing the forced hate on mr morale because people who can’t form an opinion of their own think it makes them look cool
