Why is misogyny such a hot topic when it comes to rap,but not other genres or the industry at large. Or Hollywood movies and film. Why can every other entities masculinity can be hidden behind the art tag,but not hiphop? Can a black dominated genre be incapable of making art? Something doesn't feel right about the constant critiques. Ed Sheeran's catalogue is full of misogyny, but you never see the think pieces.

Do you really have to ask?

I’d hate to use an certain buzzwords.. like “Agenda” but we all know what it is. Well anyone with half a brain does

People have been trying to change the subject matter on and around radio and popular rap music for years, and this jackass literally did what every blue check Twitter b**** does and threw out or just straight ignored the Strong efforts.

    He’s a f***ing simp.

Is anyone here actually a fan of Open Mike Eagle though? Dude misused the term "art rap" a few years before the wave actually started with ASAP Rocky and ALLA.

You implied hip hop is only criticized extensively for misogyny because it's a black genre. This is a black man criticizing hip hop for misogyny lol

I didn't imply anything, I was alluding to the 40 plus years of hiphop being a genre, but still not being fully respected as art in this country.

    1) you know why
    2) its too explicit to ignore. White liberals prefer it a bit more coded
