Johannesburg (city and surrounding slums)

Futuristic city like Zanarkand from FFX. Not just a backdrop, but actually let you explore that s*** for once

Bloodborne open world

The next FS title or the one right after that, Sony need them PS5s moving faster

A Victorian London open world would kick ass in general

An alien world.

Not like a basic one off level or generic template like "Mars but its just red desert", but a whole open world built around it with truly otherwordly design/artstyle.

I guess Starfield soon but they still aint shown gameplay lol.

Imagine Metroid with a whole open world or multiple open world planets

Or Mass Effect

Or modern day KOTOR

Would also love to see a 3D platformer based in an open world design. Havent had one at all yet. Closes are the Banjo, Jak n Yooka games + Bowsers Fury.

Mario or Sly Cooper seem "easy" to do in that style.

Bruh..I remember when ps3 came out they showed a tech demo for what was supposedly going to be Getaway 3. Never got that s***..the team went on to do LA Noire though if I'm correct. That could be wrong though. But yeah that series was amazing, just got touted as a GTA clone and of course couldnt stand up to that. Game was clunky as hell control wise but still was amazing for the time, with loads of awesome ideas that hadn't really been done yet, even in gta

Oh yeah that one's older. You can only really watch over your park from like a sims type angle. They have planet coaster where you can walk around the parks you make and kinda ride them (it's more like testing them for safety iirc). But it's really clunky to do either of them

Mirror's Edge city with actual open world would be incredible, to have the freedom of climbing up a building fr any street

I remember when I first saw how amazing Mirrors Edge looked with that clean ass sleek city years back

i only played total warhammer 2 and some of the old space marines joint on the ps3, but they got so much lore and world building they could put in a game. would probably take forever to make, but s*** would be hype
