I feel like when people get tired of California they look at these two places specifically (this might include Washington as well) BUT I feel like the two states are very Similar but very different. help me understand

washington the same honestly, its metro areas are just bigger. both states have goat nature tho
i’m from oregon and never been to colorado so i’m obviously biased but from what i’ve heard about colorado you can’t go wrong with either. just depends what you’re interested in

That's true, it's just, like you said, there's more to choose from in Washington but the cost of living is worse. Even Portland is only like 66% the cost of Seattle. So that could make a difference.
