what do u guys think of organised religion? I believe it tarnishes your soul and mind as you cannot be a free thinker with the boundaries it sets

Most organized religion has been co-opted by people who want to use it further their own selfish goals.

I have no problem with religion itself in a vacuum but people have used it to commit atrocities since the very beginning.

I consider myself spiritual and have simply taken what resonates with myself from various religions and philosophies and woven it into my own personal 'spiritual tapestry' and it's been the healthiest thing for me.

It's a little alienating since I don't really have anyone to 'practice' with but c'est la vie.

I feel like atheists are more prone to nihilism which may or may not lead to depression / general pessimism etc.

It's trash but it gives some people a sense of belonging and purpose in their life.
