Masters gets you entry level positions, some of these job listings are absurd
you think so?
Feel like with proper work experience AND a masters it unlocks 6 figures easy depending on the industry
and even if you just have masters with little experience, youll be in the top half of earnings for said entry level position

Well I don’t have a masters, I been applying to “entry level” positions that have incredible prerequisites given the pay and job description
what are business degrees worth for the job market? seems like that’s a common major
My friend netted a supply chain a***ysis job with one. During most of his college he was just backpacking around Asia. Makes like 80k
I have another friend with a linguistics degree who fell into tech stuff for a hospital. Makes over 100k (forgot to mention his college life was traveling Europe and partying lol)
And then another friend with a business degree at 50k doing advertising and hates her job

Finance, Accounting, Actuarial, supply chain, IT, data a***ytics, etc all great business majors.

It does/is for me, but this is correct, many fields operate in completely different ways
Finance, Accounting, Actuarial, supply chain, IT, data a***ytics, etc all great business majors.
Every single field there sounds suicide inducing to me.
Doesn't mean much until you decide to do something with it (requires social & emotional intelligence + networking).
Most non-STEM degrees are like this in America, basically you need a graduate education or go home.
Everyone in stem has a degree tho so u saying everything requires a degree?
Gen z is way too internet savvy to have this mentality. They can’t rely on the same old excuses by millennials and such talking about they didn’t know any better
They have too much information and too many resources at their disposal to not know about how many affordable degree options there are. You do not have to go to NYU for your useless literature degree.
Blaming the kids for the s*** economy
exactly. you learn nothing in college, but the degree does represent the work you put in and as a qualification of skill. for company’s that will always be more valuable than “i learned it online and didn’t soend years practicing!”, no matter if the skills are equal. people saying “drop out!” don’t actually understand what the degree means
If u learned nothing in college I have very bad news for u

Idk some professors are actually s*** at their job and really don't care to be there. My professor for one of most important business courses was switching careers after the semester and basically just played videos every day and called class any time it rained/snowed
90% of your success from college are internships and networking
Need more of a push in public schools for trades and vocational training but of course that pipeline needs to pump ill equipped kids into predatory college loans

Nah this isn’t true, there’s still a chunk of people in CS at least without a degree. You gotta be legit a gifted programmer to make it that way tho
