Just got out
Holy overhyped
First with the “scariest movie ever” bullshit lmfao I was like this the entire movie 😐
The plot itself was kinda s***
Cage was cool but cringe
Acting was actually good for a horror film
But like, like most horror films, it just f***ing sucked
Don’t get me started on the ending
Don’t get me started on the ending
I’m actually cackling it veered into camp territory hilariously fast
ok so i just got out of this, i have thoughts…..
the atmosphere, cinematography, and the acting of both malika and nic cage are on 10 with this. nic cage in particular was so magnetic and used brilliantly, he does not waste a single second of screen time and honestly if i say who he draws a comparison to in this imma get killed by certain fanboys lmao
the only problem i have with this, well maybe not a problem with the movie itself just the marketing, is that it is nowhere near one of the scariest movies in recent history lol. s*** in a violent nature was more stomach turning than this
but all in all a very well crafted movie
good movie but nothing scared me
aight f*** it ill say it
nic cage in this is probably the closest anyone has come to capturing that “heath ledger joker” feeling. not saying he was as good, just the character and mannerisms reminded me too much
Scorsese's kind are going extinct. He's one of the last guys allowed to make those movies. He did not shape the industry. Every gun for hire franchise director is on the Spielberg playbook
it isnt just spielberg I mean. George Lucas and James Cameron were also highly influential towards the current state of cinema. But the reality is that these current hacks are just taking the lowest common denominator s*** from these filmmakers and adding nothing else to the work. Even filmmakers like Denis Villenueve take from great filmmakers like Fincher, Spielberg, Lucas, Malick, etc. but fail to really make anything memorable out of it. Hell Longlegs took from Fincher and Lynch and while it's certainly a better attempt than the usual washed down hollywood bs, it's still a far cry from those far superior filmmakers.

Spielberg did way more as a producer than either of them. Transformers and the Jurassic World franchise alone account for billions and billions and billions of dollars of box office.
wait waht??? This is getting compared to prisoners?
Not sure why tho since they're 2 totally different flicks
Yeah ima wait until this goes on VOD lol
u scared?
