Weird how people are jumping through hoops to defend plagiarism. Guys yall are not sticking it to the bad multi billion dollar company, yall sticking it to the artists who work on your favorite games, because the bad multi billion dollar companies are looking at the defense squad and steam sales as an opportunity to steal even more. You're right. I messed up how I wanted to position my argument. I meant to say they are a small business, but they def are not struggling in revenue and brand awareness with hollow knight. Their community and fandom are still active and have supported other similar platforms that have their style.
You can't copyright a gameplay or art style. Maybe some models are ripoff with minor tweaks. But you can't own a drawn style such as pokemon
