the rest of post kept getting worse

The Weeknd just had some of the biggest hits ever and is currently on a stadium tour. An actual real popstar.

Beyoncé is currently set to have her biggest debut ever next week, had a successful era 25 years into her career, just finished one of the biggest tours ever

If anything, Drake is the one that is 5 years past his peak now.

Why are KTT users so delusional? It’s like you guys live in a different universe when it comes to discussing non-rappers

Regarding Drake, he’s not a performer, lacks showmanship for a stage like this, and a lot of his hits are not big enough with the general audience (the Super Bowl is watched by +100M people).

I agree with everything you said but Drake could definitely perform at the Super Bowl, especially if it was with Wayne and/or Nicki

    You’re the delusional one lmao.
Weeknd couldn’t even crack 200k on his last album
Drake could go on a stadium tour right now and move tickets with ease

The way KTT acts like The Weeknd isn’t the biggest hitmaker of the decade so far is funny. Literally a string of hit songs nonstop for +4 years now lol starting in Dec/2019 with Heartless/Blinding Lights

He has a hit right now which was originally just some random song from The Idol soundtrack

Adding the fact that he’s also on a stadium world tour currently, I don’t think that Dawn FM US debut from 2 years ago really matters in the grand scheme of things

Bruno Mars performed in 2014 one year before Uptown Funk (2x Diamond), 3 years before 24K Magic (album with 3 smash hits eligible for Diamond certification), 7 years before Leave The Door Open/Silk Sonic, 9 years before his stadium tour 💀 “superbowl was his last form of relevancy” “no longevity” 💀

Sorry bro i live in the real world i never heard any bruno mars song post 2014

The fact you think beyonce is bigger mid 2010’s vrs destinys child and her solo 2000’s run just shows u dont live in the real world

Her literal top 3 best selling albums are all from the 2000’s

And i can tell ur a drake hater because no wherre did i mention drake is at his peak goofy ass nigga, i just said he still sells out tours so from a financial perspective it would not make sense to go do a performance that takes months of prep and dipping into YOUR OWN budget because the superbowl doesnt cover it alll

her top 3 albums and all top singles are all from the 2000's, how is she more relevant now than in her prime?

to go even further, lets look at singles, since streaming era is singles dominated

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HER TOP 10 SINGLES IS PRIOR TO 2011

im in the office getting paid here, i can go all day g

  • weeknd is literally the only artist that did the superbowl in his general prime years from recent memory

    2024 - usher - out of prime
    2023 - rihana - out of prime
2022 - dr dre - out of prime
    2021 - weeknd - general prime
    2020 - shakira - out of prime
    2019 - marron 5 - out of prime
2018 - justin timberlake - out of prime
2017 - lady gaga - out of prime
    2016 - coldplay - out of prime

the entire 2000's superbowl was all acts from the 80's and 90's. Prince, Paul Mcartney, Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith, Phill Collins

acting like the exception effects the general rule of thumb, which is superbowl performers are TYPICALLY 10 years out of their prime, which allows the general audience which is very broad (21-50 year olds) to know all their biggest hits

You claimed her relevance has declined since 2013, when she performed. Read your own post.

Which is in fact not true, since ALL her albums released after the Super Bowl outsold the album she released before the Super Bowl and all her singles this decade are doing better than her singles from the past decade. She’s literally doing better now than a decade ago.

my g, if you're arguing against sales figures, the most objective thing we have in music relevance, idk what to tell you

her top 3 best selling albums all pre-2013
her top 10 best selling singles all pre-2013

beyonce is simply NOT in her prime post-2013, there is nothing you can magically say that will change the fact that she sold more albums and more singles pre-2013

and i said ill give the weeknd in my original post, at the end of the day there might be exceptions but everyone knows superbowl performers are always generally out of their prime.

    That’s not what I said.

The actual quote: “ALL her albums released after the Super Bowl outsold the album she released before the Super Bowl ”

The album in question is “4”, the album she released in 2011 and which was the album she was promoting and touring when she performed in 2013.
All her albums released after the SB (Self titled, Lemonade and Renaissance) were bigger than 4.

4 remains her least successful album and the only album without a song charting in the top 10.
And when it comes to singles, Break My Soul and Cuff It from Renaissance were bigger than any single from the 2010s. Break My Soul peaked at #1, something all her singles in the 2010s failed to do, and Cuff It is her longest charting single EVER. And currently, her new single is set to become her biggest debut ever next week.

So no, Beyoncé is not less musically relevant now compared to 2013 when she did the Super Bowl like you claimed. All stats shows that she’s actually bigger now than a decade ago.

    1. you dumb as f***

    2. beyonces prime was the 2000's, this whole debate started because the generality is that superbowl halftime performers are about 10 years out of their prime typically (which beyonce is, her prime was late 2000's according to all objective facts aka sales)

"4 remains her least successful album" - you

this is wild, u gotta be a beyonce stan or something

idk bro you just be making s*** up when the numbers are there

I can see that you don’t know how sales work. This platinum certification of Renaissance is from 2022, a few months after the album was released. US certifications are not automated.

Of course an album from 2011 has sold more than an album from 2022, released less than two years ago. However, Renaissance in less than 2 years is already about to outsell this decade old album. Not to mention the singles were bigger, especially globally.

And yes, Self-titled and Lemonade outsold 4. In fact, Lemonade was the best selling album of 2016, per IFPI.

    This is all common knowledge.

4 remains Beyoncé’s least successful album

And again, reread your original post. Beyoncé is not less musically relevant compared to a decade ago. That’s exactly the comparison you made, not me.
