I know it's f\*\*\* Lockjaw but that scene did seem weirdly cruel
oh the cruelty was not problem at all lol, is just felt too conventional and unnecesary
I think Teyana really has a shot at that Oscar. People will talk about her lack of screen time but she’s unequivocally the main character for the first act of the film. That’s gotta count for something.
bob tryna charge his phone while sensei is doing the real work was cinema
I really saw some people trying to paint this as a white savior movie leading up to release lmao. That boy Bob ain’t saving s\*\*\* :jordanlaff:
70mm imax was as insane as I expected, I feel spoiled seeing basically the full frame the whole time
I don’t want to violate any potential NDAs I may or may not have signed but PTA is the greatest filmmaker alive
I stand by it

Sure, I'm just saying it felt like a hat on a hat

Yea lol that’s the f***ing point

They should run her tbh. Supporting actress looks pretty weak at the moment and she's got a really strong case. After Rossellini secured the nom last year (and arguably could have won if not for Saldana's category fraud) it would be crazy not to at least give her a chance
Other than Ariana Grande, who is the obvious frontrunner at the moment but could fall victim to the "playing the same role twice" thing that the Academy historically does not like to award, who is even in the conversation? Judging from the reactions to Blunt's performance in The Smashing Machine she has no chance. I'm sure Paltrow will get some love, as will the two supporting performances in Sentimental Value, but that field does seem wide open for Teyana Taylor to take it. The critical reception and projected strength in other categories can only help her case as well

lmao the fact that he literally failed at everything including the climax is one of the best things about the movie
Pretty wild I had no idea Sean Penn was even in this before watching, came out of it thinking that’s one of the best performances of the decade.
Reminds me a lot of Vince McMahon
Like the mannerisms and the way he walks
This s*** all over everything I already thought was great from the last 5 years
Beats Oppenheimer and Zone of Interest
