I discovered and understood the concept of “the album” the second I pressed play on my blue & polished silver portable radio to Aaron Carter’s incredible “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It) back in 2000
listening to full albums is nerd s***, no one has time to do that s***
how can there be a god when this is an opinion real people legitimately hold
listening to full albums is nerd s***, no one has time to do that s***
Listening to full songs and not just TikTok snippets
Most f***ed up thing to me is that some mainstream artists just release an album with the hot single on it and the rest of the album is trash and is made just to get a few songs on rapcaviar
Like these are actual teenagers they’re just discovering this s*** let them get in the groove
thats what I’m saying bro 💔💔💔
Site COOKED 💔💔💔
Lol y’all should’ve known this was coming and planned accordingly
Like these are actual teenagers they’re just discovering this s*** let them get in the groove
Exactly what I was trying to say. People are coming of age and just have social media now to share it. We woulda all been doing the same s*** if we had the means to share back then

laughs in raised by parents that played tapes and albums
laughs in raised by parents that played tapes and albums
My parents played me tapes and albums growing up too, for hours on end, especially on road trips. In those moments, I only tuned in to the songs from that album I really liked and the rest was playing like a radio station to me, a kid at the time.
Like my earlier comment, my parents are casual listeners. As a result, I discovered the beauty of appreciating a full album later in life as opposed to someone who was raised by avid music lovers. Why y’all so elitist to how people grow and discover things? Damn

Not so much elitist as much as it is being/turning 30s and seeing how artists nw making music like playlists and not albums have done to the quality of music

if it’s elitist to poke fun at people who are just discovering that there’s an actual body of work behind the song that they heard while watching their favorite TikTok thot dance to it, then please hand me my fedora this instant
People were this way when we were kids too during the itunes era
yeah i didn't start rlly listening to full albums until i was a teen. just seems like regular adolescent sht, just now it's broadcast to the whole world
it’s crazy that any semblance of standards or desire for normalcy/regulation in the art world (or really, even the humanities at large) gets you called an “elitist”
you don’t gas the millionth trap artist #1,300,345 as the greatest ever or the next one up you’re an elitist
you prefer your artists to perform on stage versus running around to an MP3 out of breath, you’re an elitist
you want people to broaden their sound instead of making the same redundant bullshit over and over again, you’re elitist
liberal egalitarianism did a number, we’ll never be free and it’s over

I was a cd collector in elementary school, had 200+ cds and listened to full albums
Had literally not a single friend who also did this and everyone thought it was kinda weird
By HS a lot of my friends became pretty heavy music listeners, that age is definitely when most people get into music i dont see any shame in it
