this idea of elitism and gatekeeping being a bad thing has gotten old ages ago tbh, i don’t understand why people act like there shouldn’t be requisites or expectations in things like art at all
even segueing away from this s*** they do this type of crying in philosophy, there will be dudes who watched a TED talk or a video essay on Nietzsche and then come try and debate it with people who have f***ing sat down and studied his work(s)
and then when they get called out for their obvious lack of in-depth knowledge on a philosopher (or a topic) there’s always some moron crying about “elitism” TL;DR:
