Golden was a bunch of fanservice events and a really contrived new character and dungeon. A lot of people liked the new events, but I wasn't fond of them. Kasumi is definitely better integrated into the game than Marie was in 4, but it means that she doesn't stand out for most of the story. It's a lot of subtle changes until the new act.
