Both did a great job but it’s not a fair comparison.
Pharrel did 6 solo joints and helped Ye with one joint
Ye did one solo joint and had help with 5 joints.
Both did great, "Dreamin of the Past" is my favorite from the album
I love it but the mixing is kinda bad, highs are PIERCING
Yeah him using the same drums on every beat of his was a bizarre choice on his part.
Can’t lie, those drums hit the hardest
People who say the production on this project isn’t good. Everything ok at home? Therapy is an option.

Ye made some of the best beats on all time on Daytona and nothing on here comes close sadly, Pharrell really went crazy here, Clipse vibes throughout

Pusha’s flow meshes better with bass lines as opposed to bouncy 808s, Pharrell side is a bit inconsistent and his drums kinda mid on here which is why I gotta give it to Ye, but LTSSTC & Call My Bluff are incredible
Even Push is pushing the Kanye side harder tbh Diet Coke was his lead single and he went with Dreaming Of The Past on Fallon without even mentioning that he decided to showcase Hear Me Clearly on Nigo's album. And P's highs are pretty high I'm not even trying to throw shade or anything
Most the Ye beats underwhelmed me if I I’m being honest album felt like a return to form for P
Yeah, I feel like it was a downgrade for Ye, because his production for Daytona was his best production he done for Push ever imo.

Yeah, and he did the same thing in the 2000s with Chad with the same iconic drums that vintage Neptunes sound had.
The only difference is that those drums are literally addicting to ear and we're very hard af.
i think it is even as far as the tracks are concerned but overall as an album this feels like those pre-daytona works of his that feel less than the sum of their parts. If this was a 12-tracked focused production from ye, push wouldve had another classic
people, including me, underestimate what ye brought to the table with the 7-track album thing
