niggas gonna say Pitchfork just hating because he has charisma

  • May 10, 2022

The album its getting this bad of a reception because people actually expected something about him

Yeah, that's true. Reviewers don't set their own scores. That's why you can read a Pitchfork album review that's mostly positive and then see that it gets a 5 or a 6.

Im not sure if you care but this is an incredible (long) write up by Dombal

    pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/kate-bush-the-red-shoes

They gave this album a 7 but the depth of the writing is why pitchfork was/is a cultural mainstay

Dombal is such a good writer and they’re making him he an editor smh

  • mr get dough

Yeah that probably was the last really terrible album i remember hearing

But they gave that s*** a 7 so

    unforgivable

Drama was really bigging this guy up for what 🤣

He's his artist? Also, he's certainly got potential. I just think Jack should have refrained from bragging about how good he was until his skill level could match his s***-talking because the bright lights came on and he folded at the big moment.

He needs some pointers from Dua Lipa. She dropped nothing but trash for the first 3 years of her career before winning people over with FN

The sad thing is that I don't think it'll matter how good his next album is. This was a career-defining moment.

I don’t think it’s too late based off all the co-signs he got that’s more so represents their taste BUT I can’t feel bad for him because everything about his come up was based on privilege

  • May 10, 2022

The songs that'll remain on my rotation from this are

    Young Harleezy
    Dua Lipa
    Lil Secret
    Churchill Downs

    Thats about it tbh

Jack should be okay, though. He'll go on tour and perform for his fans and I can definitely see him scoring more hits in the future but all the "next one up" "leader of a generation" talk is done. Most people will move on from him as a musician but maybe women will still thirst for him online.

Not a fan of the music he reviews so not familiar beyond the major releases.

Seems to be a a bit cynical in the stuff I’m skimming

2015-17 she sucked and was awkward asl. Her breaking through the way she did later was impressive

    Such a forced reference.

I wouldn't say everything. He definitely worked his ass off to get to where he is now.
