like start a podcast or a youtube channel if you actually wanna change something instead of grandstanding whilst writing for a white ass publication acting like you’re leading a revolution
No cause y'all would s*** on him for s***ty videos too lol

You could always respond to the stuff he says that you disagree with and not just act like a crybaby b****
Actually, you probably couldn't
To be real about this importance of lyrics debate going on, the loudest people are those who believe lyrics aren’t important at all. Not coincidentally the young male millennial-gen Z dominated internet we use. But there’s a whole world of demographics - and generations - that feel the opposite. We really underestimate how important lyrics are to not only long-standing traditions of what constitutes as “good music” but types of groups. These groups exist outside of our bubble…and even within it
Why do we think the so-called Big Three is still…kinda the big three a whole decade and plenty of waves coming and going in between? Just my thoughts tho
can't hate on alphonse bc he's one of the few writer who cares about regional rap

100 people liked a post of someone calling you a sped and you’re still posting like one
go d***ride that nigga in someone else’s mentions lmao
He's a hater, but he's a hater because he wants genuine artists with an actual culture to them instead of pop musicians who capitalize on trends. He grew up in Atlanta and watched trap go from local flavor to the Billboard. He's bitter about it and he should be tbh. KTT wants to call rap dead and dogshit but only praise it's most influential and dominant artists. At least these reviews see why
So he’s a hater with an agenda got it
Bringing race into this however is stupid and if you're not black and taking digs at the author's blackness due to his review you're being racist and anti-black. He can hold whatever opinion he sees fit, but just like I don't care about political news from the New York Post, I don't care about music journalism from Pitchfork. It's a consistently and long-standingly terrible publication that has done serious damage to music criticism ever since its inception with its tedious writing and snarky perspective on basically anything. It's an outlet for yuppies.
Like we have to remember we’re talking about a writer for a very popular and influential publication lmao, and dude is like “yeah he’s a hater” like that’s normal or something
No cause y'all would s*** on him for s***ty videos too lol
yea but at least he’d be doing something that was his own
that’s why i always find it funny seeing like journalists who work at these publications cry about fantano.
cause even tho he isn’t even that much better, at least he can claim he’s impacted that space and has meant more than any of those guys
WAIT
Kanye was right about pitchfork everytime!! *
I'd take Christgau's rockist garbage and self-important review style any day of the week over even the most positive P4K reviews. Their write-ups for Kid A and MBDTF, both scored 10s by them and both two of my favorite albums ever, were still embarrassments and shouldn't be taken seriously.
HipHopDX gave a worse score to Utopia and idgaf because HHDX is a great outlet for hip hop journalism. P4K is bad at literally everything it does and is singularly targeting Brooklyn gentrifiers and college kids as their base demographic
Giving these reviewers and platforms any importance was the biggest mistake ever
Album is a classic dont care what billion dollar corporation or Fat man Fantano has to say
The 2023 members are so easy to spot
Scaruffi on his worst day is vaporizing Pitchfork at its best lmao
Myke C-Town is probably going to defecate on Utopia and he is a damn genius so idgaf because I know he's going to come with sharp criticisms and will do so from a credible platform.
P4K is like citing a Wikipedia article in a thesis paper
can't hate on alphonse bc he's one of the few writer who cares about regional rap
this would matter if anyone actually read those articles
pitchfork is literally only relevant cause of their scores. no one is reading that s***
We only ride for NFR Podcast in these ends
https://twitter.com/jaylgk/status/1685051199182028800no we don't lol

pitchfork is literally only relevant cause of their scores. no one is reading that s***
And nobody reads them because they suck
this is his lowest rated album on the site. meaning the staff believes this is his worst album of his career. even worse than the quavo collab and jackboys
just sit with that lmao
If you sell less than 20k a project there's a good chance Alphonse is giving you a 7.5+
