Yeah, I understand the significance of it, but I feel like P4k lately has pretty much exclusively been about the context of music rather than the content, like I don't believe objective criticism exists, but it's boring seeing every review try and figure out what an album means in the present climate these days
Always been that no? Check out the lateralus review lol
This list just screams "Look we dont hate women we SWEAR!" to me lol...weird vibes
interesting. which female-led albums aren't worthy to be included? go ahead and list them. let's actually discuss something on here for once.

seizing the means of conde naste's production would be x10 more meaningful.than this!

That's a very good point, maybe my issue is that the annoying snarky hipster voice of old at least felt unique, I didn't even like that, but now the site is just a place to get the same cultural a***ysis of pop megastars that you can see anywhere else
albums that should've made it but got snubbed (off the top of my head)
Definitely Maybe - Oasis
13 - Blur
Pinkerton - Weezer
Long Season - Fishmans
any Ween
any Unwound
any Mark Kozelek
Alien Lanes - Guided By Voices
Going Blank Again - Ride
any Swans

Now Long Season IS the best track of the 90s

Think you're projecting. I never said the albums by women weren't worthy of praise, but there are a lot more records by women than on their previous list (see OP) and it feels like an overcorrection. As for specific instances....
Live through this above nevermind
Exile in guyville ahead of any albums by pavement, nirvana, NMH or the flaming lips (who used to all be pitchfork royalty)
Hardcore by lil kim ahead of OB4CL, liquid swords, reasonable doubt and the infamous mobb deep
Seems like they are trying to sweep their history of misogyny under the rug

When the Pawn deserves better than marginal top 20. Phenomenal, highly influential album whose effects are still felt today

Wait yeah Soundtracks for the Blind is a no-brainer
real for velvet rope placement
only built 4 cuban linx, midnight marauders, and in utero should have been much higher
amerikkk’s most wanted by ice cube should have also been on this list, as well as pinkerton by weezer
Also they got the year for reasonable doubt wrong
typical poptimism list where critics overcomepensate for overrating alt rock and underrating pop by doing the same thing but in reverse
F*** these c***s
Also that Hole album being top 10 is stupid
I would have had it on the list but like in the 90s
