FriesYeah, I understand the significance of it, but I feel like P4k lately has pretty much exclusively been about the context of music rather than the content, like I don't believe objective criticism exists, but it's boring seeing every review try and figure out what an album means in the present climate these days

That's a very good point, maybe my issue is that the annoying snarky hipster voice of old at least felt unique, I didn't even like that, but now the site is just a place to get the same cultural a***ysis of pop megastars that you can see anywhere else

Think you're projecting. I never said the albums by women weren't worthy of praise, but there are a lot more records by women than on their previous list (see OP) and it feels like an overcorrection. As for specific instances....
