Alotta people in this sxn have some of the worst takes I have ever seen, sometimes even worse than Music sxn, I saw this thread and was “Guardians? Idk Avengers turned out to be a disaster, and while it’s only a single player adventure, I still don’t trust it, I ain’t gonna get it.” I was just gonna keep it movin, and just ignore this game all together.

But, curiosity got the best of me, and literally for %50 off, I thought, “Hey you know what, if I’m so skeptical about it, I rather pay the smaller price than full price”. So with OP’s suggestion and the sale, I bought it.

OP did not miss at all, this s*** is phenomenal.

If Marvel’s Spider-Man was a love letter to that character, this is the same thing. Being true to the comic versions with some sprinkle of MCU. The visuals, the music, the locations, the story, the characters, BRO. The people who made this legitimately cared about every little detail in this game. It’s sad that it’s kinda rare these days to play a game with this much heart and soul. No bs paywalls, no cut corners and being ridiculously unfinished. This is a AAA title.

It’s not all perfect though, I do have some gripes with the combat, but that could easily be fixed in a sequel. If you’re concerned that you only play as Star-Lord, I can tell you right now it makes %100 sense, as the game sets you as the leader making very important decisions that will impact the game.

This is what a great game looks like and is in my top 3 games of the year along with Forza Horizon 5 and Guilty Gear Strive. If you haven’t played Guardians of The Galaxy, what are you doing with your life.

I used performance mode during segments with lots of combat, and quality mode for everything else. No word on ray tracing mode because I don’t think that was a thing for ps5

I played on RT mode (PS5). I had no idea the resolution was like 1700p or some weird s*** like that. Had I known I would’ve stuck with Quality that’s native 4K.
