dvojroleYou have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about, locs fall apart all the time. It’s extremely common for poorly managed locs (eg. never getting a retwist or too many) to start thinning and break off either from the root or even the ends. Also you can do what Wayne did and get a beautiful lump of free form dreads he did a lot more than poorly manage them 🤦🏾♂️ don’t quote me again bout some s*** I got a head full of telling me I don’t make sense like I ain’t go through it
you’re right. a couple of weeks ago, I noticed a couple of mine were starting to get thin at the root. most likely bc I tie them up too much. I’ve been letting them down more ever since I noticed even though I hate the feeling of having so much hair flapping on my ears and shoulders.
maintenance is no joke tho. too many folks think this is a pretty boy hairstyle

I feel like almost every time I see a famous person with locs, it’s always looks like their s*** is freshly done unless it’s free form. like they just stepped out of the chair in every photo shoot or public appearance. Idk how but it can’t be healthy

Actually the issue is cause niggas be taking care of their hair too much. Getting too many retwists, constantly getting braids, and putting too many products in your hair. That's how you get traction alopecia. Lack of maintenance won't lead to this s***.

Maybe if your hair is mad long, but it mainly comes from getting it retwisted too much and getting tight braids. It's called traction alopecia cause it comes from the hair being pulled tightly

I’ve gone months without a retwist and don’t ever worry about losing my hair, I just wash it and oil my scalp fr but then again my hair is already thick, and I took a lot of biotin when I was younger.
