How do I properly decipher the three list.

list 1 is how many playlists they're on when I adjust it for the number of Spotify followers they have

list 2 is how many playlists they're on when I adjust it for the number of Spotify monthly listeners they have

a high number for either indicates they're getting on more playlists than they should be

the last list is a combination of the two

would you say 1 is worse than two if your are looking at it in a negative sense

im tryna figure out a deal to get access to a proper database without having to pay absurd amounts of money and then im gonna code some tools to do stuff like this on the site

so like I want someone to be able to search an artist or song and it will tell them if its being put on playlists at a higher rate than it deserves

then hopefully move into adding more tools both data based and otherwise and expand from there

gonna be a process though and I have to start by getting this data sorted

1 is skewed towards small artists with a hit song - both Jack Harlow and 24kGoldn have hit songs rn
2 is skewed because its hard to tell whether the monthly listeners are because of the playlisting or if the playlisting is because of the listeners

so I would say to get the most accurate idea 3 is the best one

im aiming to get access to proper streaming data - the stuff rolling stone uses for their charts. then I can create a better metric for popularity and use historical data and etc to make this a lot more accurate
this is more of a proof of concept rn but I think all of the lists definitely illustrates some artists who are getting pushed right now

it did well on tiktok but it also got playlisted really hard, pushed on tiktok and has charted way way faster than tiktok hits normally do
