The food is set there too since I have an open concept living room/kitchen. The litter box is in the bathroom. I was told he will find the role and litter box on his own so to not move those. Dis correct?
Yeah that should be a good setup. Cats are smart, he’ll come into his own eventually. They’re also pets that like routine so once he starts coming out make sure you feed/fresh water him usually the same times every day if you can, play with him, etc. and also don’t forget to make sure he has access to a spot to look out of a window too, that’s like a TV for them

Like I said they smart bruh, put him in a few times so he can get his scent on it and be familiar with it. Also clean it regularly bc they’ll get upset if it’s too dirty and could cause them to piss/shit somewhere else

Mine used to be homeless fending for her own shes super skitterish but yes after 2 months she finally lets me pet her without freaking out and she even slept in my bed near me a few times
