"The Thing" (1982)
"REC" (2007, Spanish movie)
The thing hits different
Imagine jordanlaffing over someone slightly preffering something
Thats weird af
Both flicks were pure comedy.
Both flicks were pure comedy.
Midsommar had a lot of humor but managed to keep a very eerie vibe either way. On my first watch i was def alert af waiting for some sick s*** to happen any second, it was just very off. Midsommar wasn't scary but it sure as hell made me uncomfortable.
Hereditary was in fact pure horror tho, even the scenes that weren't horror were awful to sit through (the dinner scene for example)
Ari Aster just really nails making uncomfortable scenes imo
My fav horror movie OAT
You like what Dougherty did with KOTM?
i loved it but haven't checked out his other films, Krampus and the one you mention

WOOOOW I can’t believe I didn’t even mention Krampus
Krampus is REALLY good and I def recommend you check it out. It’s all around a great movie.
It has the scares. But it’s a Christmas movie so it has that “appreciate your family” moral of the story. It has a lot of funny scenes for a horror movie lol.. It just hits a lot of notes really well.
KOTM was ehhh. I don’t think it was a movie and budget he was ready to take on. He’s EXCELLENT at low budget horror movies. But a big budget blockbuster movie is something I don’t think he was able to handle..... yet. It was okay but I just wish he would finally focus on Trick R Treat 2
The Witch is pretty good imo
Havent watched much horror either so this thread will help
Came into this thread to recommend that movie
what's that movie where nothing happens until the very end and its like suuuuuuuuuper scary s***. has to do with the location too like a forest or something

It Follows is one of the hardest horror movies ever.
This. Super accessible too.
A friend hit me up with a totally different perspective of what it's about and I thought it was even better when I watched it again.
Beyond the Black Rainbow
Sort of movie you can watch multiple times and it gets better each time
