Finishing Johto and discovering they put the ENTIRE region of Kanto in there is one of the best gaming memories I have 
Also, this was legendaryThat part. Even if it is Gen 1.5 it was unbelievable at the time to get to essentially pack both games in a single cartridge. Crystal still my favorite Pokémon game to this day

Oct 31, 2022Not even gonna read but I agree and have felt this way for a long time and I’ve chalked it up to one major thing:
Gen 2 isn’t designed for you to plow through it. They want you to play it daily, exploring the world and using all the bells and whistles like Kurt’s Pokeballs, time specific events, and egg hatching. The idea was each day you’d have a reason to pop in gen 2, even for jus five minutes, so you could gather any items that were ready or pokemon you want to catch.
Now unfortunately they forgot that people don’t play Pokémon conventionally and the gen 2 remakes imo are still as ass as the gbc games

Its the second generation like almost 30 years old yet most of the pokemon are forgotten
That just proves how big of a flop it is. That s*** came directly after the most Iconic gen 1 and almost none of these pokemon are cool
