What really annoys about Mewtwo deck is Clefable and Jynx both being such insane value low cost units to run. Both have high hp, does good dmg w the latter capable of inflicting so much more. In a situation where you force a swap these two can reliably tank the hit so you miss out hurting their Gardevoir/Mewtwo. Clefable only costing 1 energy to attack and retreat is just nasty, meaning your opponently can solely focus on investing in their Mewtwo

Mewtwo deck does wonders in both slow and luck (if they get to Gardevoir early) playthrough

Does the app give tutorials on how to battle? I’m kinda interested but have never Pokémon card battled in my life. Kinda intimated to start

yeah, it gives you a tutorial on battle mechanics. it does not play exactly like normal pokemon TCG i think? but i only played pokemon TCG when i was a kid, haha

this game is very basic in actual mechanics so far. i am sure the strategy gets fun the better cards you acquire.

really need to open packs to make it playable past a certain level. early cards are very bad compared to some of the ones you start getting access to or seeing even the bot battles have
