"The hate" is loser noname twitter accounts writing purposefully hurtful s*** to get a rise out of the community. They exist for any controversy, and it doesnt automatically delegitimize whats being said.

The fact is, for a $60 game to be less feature filled then the the previous version that was half the price? Thats a bad value. Its anti-consumer too because Game Freak is not slick. They want you to pay monthly for pokemon HOME to store pokemon not in SwSh in the hopes next gen that they will be added. Thats why they specifically took out HALF.

Even if you dont transfer Pokémon and dont care to, the stretched out textures, constant hand-holding and railroading, and confirmed lackluster post-game consisting of 2 hours of "story", some gym leader repeats, and a goddamn battle tower shows this game was half-assed because they know theyll make 15 million anyway so f*** the consumer

I love Pokemon, but to see it die like this and to see people defend the anti-consumer bullshit because "its so hard for a multibillion dollar franchise making more money than mickey mouse to hire a couple more programmers and provide the features and quality expected from a full priced $60 game"

No Mans Sky was crucified for less, and that s*** truly was an indie game.

Japan wasn't told about the Dex cut until Friday. They were hyped and pre-ordered the game. They were told a week before release that the game wasn't going to contain every Pokemon so they're going crazy. They started a #Fuckyougamefreak to counter the #Thankyougamefreak. Some Japanese fans have also been saying how they want Ohmori and Masuda dead. GF cancelled they're Japanese release party because of the threats. Japan isn't taking it lightly so now Gen IX would definitely be a different game. Especially if these games don't out sell XY.

Wait they put a cap on pokemon levels you can catch? Lmao I'm not getting this, how is it so hard to not f*** up such a simple game man. These guys have gotten so lazy and out of touch with their fans

Geez man. People really doing this over video-games. I understand the frustration when a game franchise you love gets stripped down and you think the developers are being lazy and cheap but still. Folks need to chill.

They do have a right to be mad. I don't condone the threats but imagine getting promotion that seems like this is about to be the best Pokemon game ever only to be broke the news that only 400 Pokemon will be in the game and it's extremely barebones. We, the international crowd was already told for 5 months that most of the Pokemon won't be there. The main fan base wasn't told until a week before launch. Another example what if Nintendo sold us the switch for months only to tell us that we have to pay $60 dollars for the joycons because they're not included a week before release.

I only wanna play thru the main game to satisfy my Pokemon itch and then I'll just sell it off or trade it for something else
Don't care about the Pokedex or the Battle Tower

I hear you, I mean I would be mad if Nintendo promoted the g0at Zelda game only for the final product to be a watered down experience. Fans have a right to be disappointed and mad. Main thing that bothers me is that they are willing to stoop so low to be threatening the developers.
